"Two enemies spotted, take 'em down," Soap said into his radio device, nodding towards Andi and I.
Andi returned the gesture, sneaking up to the filing cabinet I was behind to follow after me.
"Roger that," I whispered into my radio, lowering my gun.
I holstered it on my hip before slowly unsheathing my knife, Andi doing the same. We carefully snuck up behind two enemy soldiers and pounced, plunging our knives into their necks. A small fight was put up, but eventually the soldiers died and slipped down to the floor gently--with our assistance. Andi and I gave each other a small smile, turning back to the room's entry-way.
"Room's clear, waiting on you," Andi whispered into her device.
Task Force 141 filed in swiftly and quietly, Soap looking over at Andi and I.
He gained a small grin, "Good work, Cobra and Angel,"
"Gotta live up to my name," Andi replied with a smirk.
Our group headed up towards the roof, taking down enemies left and right. Once at the door, Soap and Ghost covered each side. They waited for a good minute before Ghost kicked it down. All of us rushed out onto the roof, looking around frantically.
"Where the hell did he go!?" Ghost shouted, holding his sniper rifle up.
Task Force 141 and I searched the roof for any sign of Hassan or enemy soldiers. However, nothing was found. We began to walk towards the door again, but stopped dead in our tracks when a group of enemies suddenly rushed out. Some had come up from the sides of the building, already restraining a few team members. We were surrounded.
Hassan emerged from behind his soldiers, looking at us with satisfaction.
"I see you fell into my trap, eh?"
Ghost yanked himself away from a soldier's grasp, advancing towards Hassan at an alarming rate, "Don't act all fucking smug, you scummy piece of shi--"
A soldier fired a few warning shots into the air before pointing their gun back at Ghost. The man frowned, stopping a few feet away from Hassan.
"I should kill you and your friends for the disrespect. However, I'd like to say something before I do," Hassan said.
His expression twisted into a sick, sadistic grin.
"You and your army have lost. We're going to bomb your precious allies and kill everyone interfering with our operation. Starting with you..."
Raising their gun, a soldier pointed it at Ghost's heart. A shot rung out through the night; however, Ghost wasn't the one on the ground. Andi was on the cement of the roof, clutching her side. Blood began to seep through her clothes, a trail being left behind as I dragged her body behind a fan. Everyone else was fighting as I did my best to stop the bleeding.
"It's gonna be okay, I've got you," I whispered reassuringly.
My hand pressed firmly against hers to help stop the bleeding, but it wasn't much use. Both of our hands were being stained with Andi's blood, her face filled with pain and sorrow.
"I'm not gonna make it," Andi whimpered, letting her head lull to the side.
I shook my head quickly, ripping off part of my jacket to use as a tourniquet. Lifting Andi up, I examined the wound. The bullet had gone straight through, but it was positioned at an angle that surely punctured her left lung. I quickly began to dress Andi's wound tightly and securely. There wasn't much time to save her.
