Starscream was getting ready to start part of his treatment for cancer. Today he woke up bright and early. Today he was going to get his simulation scan. It was going to help plan his radiation therapy. Starscream was brave and ready to do it. He first had his breakfast and then headed to the Dodson specialty clinic.

Starscream was a bit worried and nervous but he was ready to be brave. Starscream was in a part of the Dodson clinic to get a scan and to get his mask made. Starscream saw his friend Hannah was there and that there were other kids there too.

Starscream met a kid named Harry. "I have mask to treat a brain tumor," Harry said.

"Does making the mask hurt?" Starscream asked.

"No it doesn't hurt at all," Harry told him. "Making the mask is easy and painless," he said. "You lay down on a table and then they dip a plastic mesh into warm water, it gets all soft and floppy and then they stretch it over your face, it feels soft and warm like a towel," he said. "It hardens after a few minutes," he said. "Wearing it doesn't hurt either, you use your mask during your radiation treatment it is to keep you head still," he told him.

"Oh okay," Starscream said. "Making the mask and having a simulation doesn't sound so bad now," he said.

Starscream was then taken back to have his mask made. Starscream met the mold room tech Jason. "Hello Starscream it's nice to meet you I am Jason I will help you make your mask," Jason said.

"Okay," Starscream said. Starscream laid down on the table and held on to Zuzu the sloth bear. Then Jason dipped the plastic into warm water and then stretched to soft and floppy plastic over Starscream's face. Starscream stayed very still for the making of the mask. Starscream was doing a good job at staying still. Soon the mask was taken off.

Starscream saw the mask. "It looks like me," Starscream said.

"Yes it does," Jason said.

Starscream then was taken to have as scan done to help plan for his radiation treatment. Hot shot stayed very still for it. Then once it was over Starscream was able to go get his lunch. Him and his mother went to the Chic-fil-a in the hospital for lunch.

Starscream was wondering when he was going to find out when he was going to start treatment. Starscream was hoping it was going to be alright though. Starscream was seen by a few doctors to make sure things were going alright so he would be ready before starting treatment.

Meanwhile his siblings were off to school. They had a lot of learning to do. They were also trying to cope with the face that their brother had cancer. They had spent a lot of previous couple of nights crying and worrying. Their teachers noticed their eyes were red and they looked tired.

"Is everything alright Slipstream?" her home room teacher Mr. Jacobs asked.

"I just found out my five year old little brother Starscream had brain cancer," Slipstream said. "It is terrible and he just turned five and now he is so sick and fighting for his life," she said.

"I am so sorry, I can't imagine what you and your family are going through, just so you know you and your family have my support," Mr. Jacobs said.

Slipstream even told her friends. "That is terrible," her friend Micah said.

"If there is anything I can do to help let me know," her friend Stacy said.

"Yes just remember we are here for you," her friend Motorize said.

"Thanks," Slipstream said.

Thundercracker told his homeroom teacher Mrs. Kalvin and his classmates. "Thundercracker we are very sorry for what is happening to your youngest brother, it is terrible when that happens to someone you love," Mrs. Kalvin said.
