Sonic stretched as he woke up. He saw that Tails had covered his two tails around Sonic, keeping him warm. Sonic smiled as the fox cutely yawned and was curled into a ball. Sonic gave Tails a blanket and got up, careful to not wake him up.

"Sonic? Tails?" asked Amy from afar. Sonic went into the lab and was greeted by Amy. "Hey, Ames! Whatcha doing here?" asked Sonic. Amy titled her head at the nickname. "Ames?" She asked curiously.

"It's a habit of mine to give nicknames to the people that I'm friends with," he said, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment. "Awww! Sonic! Does this mean?!—" cooed Amy before Sonic intersected.

"NO. We're not friends. Not. Friends. Not. Friends. Not. Friends." He repeated. "You are a hard egg to crack," sighed Amy. "You might wanna rephrase that." commented Sonic. Amy thought about what she said. "Ohhhhh!! Sorry." She realized sheepishly.

It was awkward for a while. "Hey, Sonic. Wanna come to my house?" invited Amy. "Sure, Ames. Why not?" asked Sonic. Amy giggled, amused with the nickname Ames. "Alright, let's go! Follow me!" said Amy.

Once they got to Amy's home, Sonic saw a familiar six year old rabbit run up to Amy. "Ms. Amy! You're here! While you were gone, me and Mama baked some sweets!" She said sweetly. "Awww, thanks Cream!" replied Amy.

"Wait, Cream? Is that you?" asked Sonic. "Mr. Sonic! Hi!" greeted Cream. Cheese squeezed Sonic's cheek, which made him laugh. "Hey! Stop! Cheese, that tickles!" said Sonic laughing, stumbling backwards a bit.

"You two know each other?" asked Amy. "Yeah. Eggman kidnapped her and Cheese, and I came to rescue them." explained Sonic, pulling Cheese off of his cheek and giving him to Cream.

"Yeah! And we're grateful!" said Cream, smiling brightly at the azure hero. "Chao!" agreed Cheese. Sonic smiled back. Sonic recalled the times he spent with Cream and her mother Vanilla. He almost forgot about Fleetway during those times.

"You're welcome Cream. I would've done it for anyone." He said, kneeling down to Cream's level. "Amy? Are you home? Oh! Sonic, is that you? My, how you've grown!" said a familiar voice, approaching the three.

"Vanilla!" said Sonic and Amy in unison. "Is he staying here tonight?" asked Vanilla, looking at Amy. "Yes, he is, Vanilla." I Amy. "Make yourself at home, Sonic. I'm going to start cooking breakfast. What would you like?" asked Vanilla.

"Surprise me," shrugged Sonic. (This version of Sonic hadn't tried chilidogs yet, unlike the normal version)

"Okay then!" said Vanilla. Sonic sat on the couch as Cream began talking to him. "So, how have you been since we last met?" asked Cream. "I'm good," answered Sonic. "You?"

"Me too! Amy lives with us now." revealed Cream. Amy was helping Vanilla with the cooking. "Nice!" said Sonic. "It is. She's been helping Mama with the baking and cooking." She added as she sat down next to the blue hedgehog.

"Yeah. I remember the last time I tried one of Vanilla's goods." recalled Sonic. It was when he was twelve, just after he discovered Fleetway was inside of him. He saved Cream and Cheese from Eggman when he tried to kidnap them.

Cream giggled in response. "I made a new friend while you were gone, Sonic! But I don't think you'll like him." She revealed. "Oh?" asked Sonic. "He's one of Eggman's robots. His name is Emerl."

"Where is he?" asked Sonic. He wasn't going to destroy this Emerl robot. He hated robots, but he also hated making Cream cry. It's either destroy his hated enemy and make Cream cry, or don't destroy his hated enemy and don't make Cream cry.

Yeah, he's choosing the second option.

"He's out getting flowers. I was going to make some flower crowns for Mr. Knuckles. Hey, Mr. Sonic, do you still have that flower crown I made you?" asked Cream. "Of course, Cream. I have it back at my home." confirmed Sonic.

It was true. The flower crown Cream gave him was one of his prized possessions. It was a reminder of the times he and Cream had together. "Where is your home, Mr. Sonic?" asked Cream curiously.

Again with that question, thought Sonic. Why is it always that question?! First my super form gets corrupted, then it's meeting Amy, Knuckles, and Tails, and now it's this question. Why this question?!

"Mr. Sonic? Are you okay?" asked Cream worriedly. "Do you not have a home?" She asked. Sonic sighed and was about to tell her the absolute truth when the microwave and oven interrupted. "Breakfast is done," said Sonic.

"Sonic! Cream! Let's eat at the dinner table!" suggested Amy. "Coming, Mrs. Amy! Come on, Mr. Sonic!" called Cream. She forgot completely about the previous topic and didn't question why he was avoiding the question.

Sonic found out that there was only three seats at the table. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Sonic. Would you mind eating in the living room?" asked Vanilla, staring at Sonic with apologetic eyes. She gave him his breakfast.

"Oh sure, I don't mind." shrugged Sonic, taking his plate and sitting on the couch and putting the breakfast on the coffee table. He started eating. Sonic took the first bite, and he loved the food immediately.

Fleetway was laughing. "Oh what NOW, Fleetway?!" asked Sonic. Thank Chaos that the ladies are two floors away from the living room. He thought.

"You care for them, don't you?" asked Fleetway. "N-No I don't. Shut up!" lied Sonic. "You know what that means~" said Fleetway, seeing through Sonic's lie. "I said SHUT UP." snapped Sonic.

Unluckily for him, Amy heard Sonic from the dinner table. She ate her breakfast. "May I be excused? I think something's wrong with Sonic." said Amy. Vanilla nodded. Sonic heard Amy come down.

"Sonic?!" called Amy. "Shut up, for once, Fleetway," he said through gritted teeth. When Amy got there, he was eating. "Who were you talking to?" asked Amy. "No one. Also, what is this food? It's good!" said Sonic.

"That is called a chilidog. Have you ever had chilidogs before?" asked Amy. Sonic looked at her quietly as he took another bite of his food. "I'm gonna take that as a no. Where have you been, living under a rock?" asked Amy.

Sonic stayed silent.

Amy looked at him with wide emerald-green eyes. But before he could say anything to cover it up, she went back to eating. He sighed in relief and continued eating.
