Sonic was fighting Shadow, y'know, the ebony hedgehog who tried to kill him along with Metal, Zavok, and Chaos three days ago. Yeah, that Shadow. Strangely, Shadow didn't talk to the blue blur.
Sonic ducked a few Chaos Spears and jumped whenever Shadow chaos controlled behind him. Shadow growled furiously and ran at Sonic as fast as he could. Sonic jumped upwards and kicked Shadow in the skull.
"C'mon, Shadow! I thought we were cool after that whole Metarex situation!" said Sonic. All Shadow did was snarl and started to use Chaos Blast. Sonic panicked and hid behind a piece of debris from their last encounter.
Out of nowhere, yet ANOTHER Shadow came and started attacking the other one, interrupting his Chaos Blast. "Get back, Sonic!" warned Shadow. "Does it look like I have a choice?!" hissed Sonic.
Two Shadows?! Maybe falling off the roof yesterday hit my head harder than I realized.
Shadow and Shadow attacked each other, using the same moves as each other. When the Shadow that saved Sonic used Chaos Blast, he aimed it at the Shadow that attacked Sonic, and Sonic wasn't affected. The other Shadow was, though.
Sonic came out of his hiding place to find out that the Shadow that attacked him was a robot. "A robot?" asked Sonic. "An Android. Shadow Android. Eggman." explained Shadow. "Eggman? AGAIN? Will that guy ever quit?"
"Do you ever quit talking?" asked Shadow. "No," answered Fleetway, although Shadow couldn't hear him, and Sonic could. The Shadow Android glitched before exploding, scattering its pieces into unknown places.
"I heard you have new friends," said Shadow. Shadow recalled how Sonic was even worse when him when it came to expressing feelings. And he says IM edgy... thought Shadow in his head.
"No, they're not my friends. They're just... they just saved my life, and I'd like to repay them." said Sonic. Shadow stared at Sonic. "So that's what Chris will think if we go back to his planet?" asked Shadow.
"Where did Chris come from?" asked Sonic.
He remembered Chris. Yet another close call when it came to attachment, Chris played an important role in his life. He saved Sonic from drowning. He aided Sonic in finding the Chaos Emeralds. He even helped with Perfect Chaos.
Chris was somewhat hard to deal with, but Sonic never gave up on him. Sonic was never bothered by Chris, even when he stopped the portal at the last minute when he was just about to go home. He still wasn't bothered or annoyed by him.
"I dunno. I just recall how much you cared about him." shrugged Shadow. "I admit, Chris was close to being one of my closest friends," he lied. Chris WAS his friend, along with everyone else he met.
He just didn't want to admit that to Fleetway, so they wouldn't have to suffer the consequence of being friends with him. "Close?! Oh, faker, even I will admit that I have a soft spot for Rouge and Omega." sighed Shadow.
"Oh, Rouge and Omega. How're they doing?" asked Sonic. "Omega tried to destroy my property... Rouge tried to steal my emerald... y'know, the usual." answered Shadow. "Did you find that fourth chaos emerald?" asked Sonic, barely keeping in his laughter as he remembered the meme.
Shadow rolled his eyes. "I see you haven't changed a bit." said Shadow. "Also, I work for G.U.N now." He added. "G.U.N? Aren't they the agency that put me in jail when you framed me that one time?" asked Sonic.
"No, it was the... what is it called... the USA government people." recalled Shadow. "Oh yeah, I remember," agreed Sonic. "Anyway, I gotta get going. I already ditched Rouge and Omega twice." Shadow got ready to run.
"See you in the afterlife," joked Sonic, also preparing to run. Both hedgehogs took off in opposite directions. Sonic in the direction of Green Hills and Shadow in the direction of Chaos-knows-what.
