in the morning I walk up, from a pretty restless night and I get up and I start to head to the map room, as I am about to enter I hear some voices, "but all we have to base that on is your claim and hers, did anyone else see it?" I hear Gally's voice say as I slowly enter the door, as the others see me, I make eye contact with a few of them as they all look shocked and a silence forms for a few seconds then Minho turns to Gally a little more annoyed but tries to stay calm, "is that the evidence you wanted?" he asked in a harsh annoyed tone, as he looks at Gally, "I take it back" Gally mutters as he looks at the floor, then Alby clears his throat, "that settles it, Alex us being sent to the maze", then the keepers start to leave apart from Minho newt and Alby, "wait what settles it?" I ask them, the three of them exchange looks before newt says, "your neck yn, it is all bruised", I put my hand on my neck feeling a little embarrassed, newt and Alby look at each other then Alby looks at newt, "gather the others we will be there soon" Newt nods and leaves.
"yn, Minho take a seat please" Alby says as he gestures for us to sit at a table, where he sits opposite me and Minho sits beside me, "is there anything you want me to say to the Gladers?" I glance at Minho who doesn't look at me, then I mutter, "no..", Minho looks up at me, "after what Alex did to you, you really don't want there to be any rule or even let them know what happened to you?" he asks me, I shake my head as I look at the table, "yn, I think the Gladers should at least know" he tells me as I can feel him staring at me with concern, I wait a few moments then I look up to Alby, "you can tell them", Alby nods, "what do you want me to tell them?" he asks, I look at Minho then back at Alby, "don't tell them exactly what happened, just tell them roughly what happened" I explain to him, "I can do that" Alby says as he stands up to leave then he looks back at us, "you two coming?", me and Minho nod then stand up and follow him.
me and Minho stood a little apart from the from the others as the Gladers we crowded around the entrance of the maze, waiting, then Alby walks in the middle of them, "Alex is being sent to the maze" the Gladers then erupts into conversation as they ask Alby why and speak to each other to figure out what happened, "I will explain" Alby says then he continues, "at the party, Alex tried to take advantage of yn, but Minho had to stop him" as Alby said this a few heads turned to look at me and Minho as I can see a few of them were talking about the bruises on my neck, Alby notices this and clears his throat to get their attention, "from now on, no one is allowed to date, so everyone get that idea out of your head" as he said this it caught me by surprise as I did not expect that, clearly come people in the crowed didn't expect it ether as some sighed and a few started muttering.
a few moments later they looked back at Alby now understanding his decision as Gally and another Glader is taking Alex to the entrance of the maze, even though it is clear that Alex was treated by clint he still looked terrible, with a black eye and multiple cuts on his swollen face, it was silence as everyone watched as Alex as he was being forced to enter the maze, soon there is some commotion as Minho turns to me, "are you ok?" he asks, I look up at him, "honestly I don't know" I tell him, Minho is silent for a few seconds before speaking up "did you sleep much?" he asks as he looks back to where Alex and the other Gladers were, "I didn't sleep well" I admit as I still look at him, taking in his details from his jet black hair and dark eyes to his broad chest, "mhm" Minho says as if he is deep in though, I am then distracted when I hear Alex then shouts something to the Gladers and then walks into the maze disappearing at one of the turns.
after a few moments the Gladers head back to work most had a saddened expression, but yet every single one that walked past me gave me a sympathetic look, Minho standing close to me as he but his hands on his pack, looking at everyone that passed me as if he was looking out for me, the clint approaches me with a worried look on his face, "yn I am so sorry" he says, I look at him confused, "why?" I ask him, "I didn't know Alex did that to you, If I did I would of not helped him" I give clint a soft smile, "its ok, you just did your job" I told him, he looks back at me surprised, "so you are not annoyed at me?" I shake my head, "of course not, I will see you soon clint" he nods and gives me a weak smile before heading back to the med-bay as yn and clint were talking ably pulled Minho aside and whispered so no one would hear him, "your new role is to keep her safe, or else, she is the only girl here and we need to look out for her, and don't catch feeling I do not want to banish you to the maze as well" Minho look at him and nods as he then stands beside yn again as clint says bye to yn and leaves.
Alby then approaches me and Minho, "you are the keeper now" he says to Minho, "clear out his hut" he says as he walks away, Minho turns back to me, "want to help?" he asks, I nod "lead the way", I then follow Minho back to a hut ,as we entered we realised there was not much inside it, "guess we don't have much to do" Minho states, I stay silent as he looks back at me, "you ok yn?, you have been a bit off?" he asks me with some concern, "I feel guilty", Minho looks at me confused, "guilty why?" he asks, "Alex is probably dead" I mutter, "he deserves it" Minho says coldly I look at him surprised at his reaction, "deserves to die because of me?" I question him, Minho sighs as he starts to gather some on Alex's old things, "he had it coming, way before you, he was a shank and worse a bully" Minho clarifies, "but does that mean he should die?" I question him, he looks at me annoyed, "yes it does" I stay silent as we threw out his things, "I am going to head to the med-bey" I tell him as I avoid eye contact and leave.
