the next day, I wake up again alone.. it was early this morning, I decide to head to the med-bay to check on some of the patients, as I got to the surgery room where ben was as we decided not to move him last night, I see Minho sleeping on the chair, as ben was lying on the bed asleep.
I walk over to Minho and a crouch down in front of him, "Minho?" I say as I place my hand on one of his muscular shoulders, he flinches a little as he wakes up, "oh hey" he says as he looks at me half asleep, "were you here all night?" I ask him, "yeah" he mumbles, "come on Minho you need to sleep" I say as I take his arm as I stand up, he only looks up at me with his soft caring expression, "I cant, he isn't awake" he says as he looks over to ben, I understand ben is Minho's best friend it is sweet that Minho doesn't even want to leave his side for a minute, "well can I get you anything?" I ask him, he just shakes his head, "will he be ok?" he asks me, "yeah, the book says he will take a while to recover but he will be fine" I answer him, he nods as if still in thought.
I think for a moment as I look over at ben who is deep in sleep, "do you want to talk about it", he looks up at me surprised up first then he takes in a deep breath, then his expression changed to one I have rarely seen, it was a look of something i can only describe as affectionate, "as long as you want to" he says softly as he examines every inch of my face.
I take a step closer to him as he is still sitting down, which just makes him look up at me even more, "do think it would work, like if we kept it a secret?" I asked him, Minho smiles a little, "you want to know my honest opinion" Minho says as he straightens himself up a little, I nod waiting for his answer, "I think we would be great together" he says sincerely, "what's making you unsure?" he asks me, "I don't want to ruin what we already have and I feel like I already ruined it a little" I tell him, Minho reaches out and holds the area just under my waist but just above my hips as he slowly pulls me in closer, "you haven't ruined anything, look yn.. my job is to protect you and regardless what happens between us, I will still protect you I promise" he reassures me as he looks up at me, I smile down at him as I place my arms around his neck as I admire his features, "really?" I ask him, Minho chuckles a little as he adds, "that night was amazing, you know why I enjoyed it so much?" he asks me, I look at him confused as I thought this was a random question, "because it was you" he tell me, "what do you mean?" I ask him.
"if it was any other girl at the door I would of not let them in" he tells me, I look at him even more confused, "I am the only girl here though" I say, which only makes him smile, "regardless, if I had to pick between every girl in the world and you, I would pick you yn" he says as he looks at me, "I don't know how I know that, but there is just something about you" he explains, I move one of my hands from around his neck to the side of his face, as I inch closer to his face, I was about to kiss him when, I heard a sound.
groans, this caught me and Minho by surprise as we both jump and look over at ben, he was not facing us, "morning shank" Minho says as ben groans louder, "what time is it?" ben asks his eyes still shut, "early" I responds, which makes Minho chuckle a little, "how are you feeling?" I ask ben, "shucking awful" he complains, as he buries his head in a pillow, "I think there is a new greenie today" I say to Minho.
Minho looks over to ben who is trying to get to sleep again, "want to see the newbie?" he asks me, I nod as we leave to head to the box where we see a crowed already forming, "what do you think their job will be?" I ask Minho, "mhm" he says as he thinks, "I reckon.. a builder, what about you?", I think for a moment, "I was going to say builder but I will say a Gardener" I tell him, he nods, as we got there we stood waiting for a few minutes, until there were a few shouts, "want to make the bet interesting?" Minho asks me, "what do you mean interesting?" I ask him, "winner gets to dare the loser" he says to me, as Alby comes from behind us "I will take that action, I reckon he will be a slicer" me and Minho jump a little at surprise as both of us didn't see him, "deal" we both said.
as the crowed of boy looking at the box start to leave. newt stays to give him a tour, we see he is a weak looking boy, "builder my ass" I chuckle at Minho, "shank" he jokes, "looks like it is between me and you" Alby says to me as he chuckles and walks off.
I look over at Minho, "want to play a card game chuck taught me?" I ask him, he looks at me, "sure why not?" he says as he follows me to a table as I grab a pack of cards, I quickly explain the game as we start to play for a few hours as we are just chatting.
after a while we decide to head for dinner as we grab our food we decide to sit across from newt and the greenie, "hey newt" I say, he looks up, "look who it is, my two favourite people" he says sarcastically as he chuckles "missed you too shank" Minho jokes back, "you must be the greenie?" he asks then he continues, "I am Minho and this is yn" the boy then looks at Minho then me, he blushes a little when he looks at me then i feel a hand gently touch the side of my thigh, it was Minho's, I try hard to still focus and not give it away that my heart was beating a hundred times a second, "do you know what you job is?" I ask him he only looks at newt confused, "we haven't got to that yet, tomorrow though greenie" he says as he pats the greenie on the back as we continued to eat.
after dinner me and Minho headed to our huts, "see you tomorrow?" he asks me, I quickly looked him up and down by accident, this only made Minho chuckle a little, then I look around, everyone was in their beds, then I look up and Minho who smirked a little as he thinks he knows where this is going, I reach out and I pull him inside my hut and close the door.
