Aiah's Pov

Call Conversation:
Bryan: Aiah, baka tumagal pa ng onti meeting namin.
Me: Mag-cab na lang ako, Kuya.
Bryan: Okay. Call me when you get home.

I ended the call and looked at Mikha, who had just come out of the kitchen. Her staffs had already gone home, and Stacey had left with them.

"Wala pa si Kuya Bryan?" Mikha asked.

"Nasa meeting pa. I'll just take a cab," I said.

"Taking a cab at this time of night? Delikado, Aiah," Mikha said.

"Mikhs, I’m an attorney," I replied, laughing a bit.

"A very famous attorney. I'll just drive you home," Mikha said.

"Sure ka?" I asked.

"Yes. It’s also my way of thanking you for coming tonight," Mikha said.

I looked at Mikha. Her appearance had changed a bit. I remembered how, back in high school, she sometimes wore glasses and dark-colored clothes.

"Is there something on my face?" Mikha asked.

"Nothing. I just remembered something about you," I said.

"About me?" Mikha asked.

"You were super shy back then. But now, it doesn't seem like you're that kind of person anymore," I said.

"Maybe I got used to shedding some of that shyness because of my career," Mikha said.

"You're cute too when you're shy," I said.

"L-Let’s go to my car," Mikha said.

She stuttered—just like in high school.

While Mikha was driving, it suddenly started to rain.

"That's weird. It was sunny all day and not a cloud in the sky," I said.

"Mapang-asar ang weather pag gabi," Mikha said.

The rain started pouring hard. Some of the roads were beginning to flood. Then my phone rang—Kuya Bryan was calling.

Call Conversation:
Bryan: Aiah, where are you?
Me: Pauwi na, Kuya. Ihahatid ako ni Mikha.
Bryan: I’m already home. Pabaha na 'yung daanan. The meeting ended earlier than I thought.
Me: Hindi na pala ako makakauwi.
Bryan: Put me on speaker.
Me: Huh?
Bryan: Just do it, Aiah.
Me: Okay, Kuya.

I tapped the speaker button.

Bryan: Good evening, Mikha. Can you do me a favor?
Mikha: Good evening din po. I can, Kuya.
Bryan: Do you mind if my sister stays at your place tonight? The roads are already flooded here.
Mikha: Sure po, Kuya.
Bryan: Thank you, Mikha. Drive safe.

Kuya Bryan ended the call. Mikha glanced at me for a moment, then turned the car around, steering away from the road that led to my house.

"Mikha, I can just stay at Arceta Hotel," I said.

"It's okay with me if you stay at my condo tonight," Mikha replied.

"Condo?" I asked.

"Yeah, when it rains this hard, I usually go home to my condo instead." Mikha said.

After a few minutes, we arrived at her condo. The building had a basement garage, so we used the elevator from there. She unlocked her unit and held the door open for me.

"Make yourself comfortable, Aiah," Mikha said.

I sat on the couch in her living area while she went straight to the kitchen. She looked really great in her chef’s attire.
