Mikha's Pov

"Mikhaela Lim, why can't you still pick?" Gwen asked.

A week had passed, and tonight was the party for Aiah's parents’ wedding anniversary. Gwen and Colet were at my house, already dressed for the party—unlike me, who still couldn’t decide what to wear. Jho was already at the venue.

"I really don't know what to wear," I said.

"Just wear a suit, Mikhs. It's just a party," Colet said.

"It’s the wedding anniversary party of Aiah's parents," I replied.

"A suit will do. Ako na nga pipili para sayo," Colet said.

Gwen went downstairs while Colet picked out a suit for me.

"Oh, ayan, Mikhs. Bagay naman kahit ano sayo," Colet said.

After changing, Colet and I went downstairs. Mom and Gwen were already waiting in the living room.

"Thanks, Colet. You always save the day at times like this," Mom said.

"You're welcome, Tita. Itong anak niyo, slow mag-decide sa damit kapag may events," Colet said.

"Mom, do you know where I placed the gift for Aiah's parents?" I asked.

"She’s even forgetful at times like this," Gwen added.

"Nasa table, kitang-kita namin. My daughter has grown up, but she still needs help," Mom said with a laugh.

"Thanks, Mom. You know I always need your help," I said.

"Gwen and Colet, thank you for always being patient with my daughter," Mom said.

"Mom," I said, a little embarrassed.

"Okay, the three of you should go now and have fun," Mom said.

We left the house in two cars—mine and Gwen’s. Colet rode with me. After a few minutes, we arrived at the venue—a mansion. Tita Maileen and Tito Bernard bought it last month, and the renovation had just been completed last week. Aiah had moved in with Kuya Bryan, Jho, and Tita Cathy around the same time.

"Mikhs, your face is already telling us you're nervous," Gwen said.

"Relax," Colet added.

"Bakit ka kinakabahan?" Gwen asked.

"I don't know," I replied.

"It’s not like you’re proposing marriage already. You’re just doing a proper proposal to ask her to be your girlfriend," Colet said.

I told them how Aiah and I became a couple that night by the pool. They were thrilled—and, of course, they teased me about my first kiss. I’m planning to ask her in front of her parents because I want it to be a proper, respectful proposal.

"Just stay calm. Enjoy the night, Mikhs," Gwen said.

"I'm sorry, I’ll calm down," I replied.

"Good, because your girlfriend is already waiting for you inside. Jho’s with her. Tara na," Gwen said.

We entered the mansion. There were already a lot of guests—probably relatives or business partners. Kuya Bryan saw us and came over.

"Guys, welcome! Glad you're here," Bryan said.

"I brought a gift, Kuya," I said.

"Thanks, Mikha. How about you give it personally to Mom? Nasa taas sila," Bryan said.

Colet patted my shoulder. I nodded at them and smiled, then made my way upstairs. I knocked first before opening the door. I saw Aiah talking with Jho and Tita Maileen, while Tito Bernard was watching them quietly.
