YUNHEE
"Okay, I'll pick that up on the way. Does Lily want something too?" I say into the phone as I cross the street. Today was the first day of our third year in college, and I wasn't expecting anything new from it. Same place, same friends and same fashion design degree.
But what was not the same was me almost losing my life.
"WHAT THE HELL? WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" I yell at the driver of the car which almost hit me. The traffic light was clearly red and this guy had to be blind if he couldn't see me and a bunch of other pedestrians crossing.
"You watch what you're doing!" The guy yells back. He wore grey shades on his head full of dirty blonde hair, swept back to reveal his undercut. This was a face I knew. Before I could say anything more, the traffic light changes and the bright yellow Lamborghini speeds off into who knows where. I did make sure to flip him off when he could see me, though. I huff and stroll over to the café to pick up some coffee and pastries for my friends. If Ryujin hadn't wanted that damn chocolate croissant she eats 25/8, I wouldn't be walking inside traumatized after a near death experience.

"Okay class, I'll be assigning your seats for this year so move your butts," Mrs. Kim says as we settle inside and we all groan.
"No babe don't leave me!" Heeseung dramatically says, reaching out his hand to me as if someone was pulling him back.
"Shut up, silly. It's not like we're never going to see each other again. I'm sure we'll be paired up with someone decent," I say to him.
And the decent person I got to spend the rest of my year with? My could-have-been murderer.
"Unpleasant surprise seeing you here, Park Jay."
"Likewise, stranger," he responds, combing his fingers through his hair as I set my bag on the table next to his. Even though he's in this class, I'm pretty sure he has no idea who half of his classmates are because he never attends. Guess being the son of the richest motor industrialist in South Korea has its perks.
"You really have no shame speaking like that after what you did today morning, do you?"
"It's normal and it's none of your business," he casually replies, rolling his eyes. I could not believe the audacity of this guy. How could he say it was normal and 'none of my business' when he could have killed me?
"As you all know, your classes have started very late due to the elections and other political activities in this area. You have a huge pile of projects to do this year and your first one is pretty big. I'll be telling you about it next week, so no more goofing around and start taking your studies seriously for once. I'm talking to you especially, Mr. Park," she says, eyeing Jay and I snicker from the side.

"No way girl, shouldn't you report him or something?" Ryujin says, taking an extra scrumptious bite of the croissant I almost died to get for her.
"I should be reporting you first! You and that damn croissant you can't live without!" I hiss at her. I know I'm being dramatic, but I had to get it out of my system, okay? "That son of gun, Jay. I'm gonna kill him with my own hands."
"How would you kill him with someone else's hands anyways?" Lily asks.
"You know what I mean."
"He's kind of cute though. A lot of girls would die to sit next to him," Ningning says looking away, sipping her coffee. Jay was one of those typical popular rich kids who always bunked classes and spent time partying.
