YUNHEE

"Ugh, what the heck happened last night?" I say, rubbing my eyes as I get up from the bed that I probably passed out on after inhaling a truckload of drinks. Jay was sprawled out on the floor next to me, eyes staring blankly into oblivion without a single thought behind them. I look at him and the happenings from last night flood back into my memories in a rush as I stare at him in horror like he committed cold blooded murder in front of me.

Did Jay and I almost kiss???

But most importantly, why did my perception of him feel a little...different? Oh God, it must be the hangover. I've gone insane.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer," he mumbles in a deep voice as he turns towards me. However, he seems to make the same realization as me and immediately looks away, avoiding any kind of eye contact. I mirror the same.

"Lover's spat going on here?" Heeseung says, throwing a towel over his shoulder and walking into the room.

"Well, I made some hangover soup because the host of the party very graciously did not give two shits and we had to do all the work," Sunghoon makes a snide remark.

"Sorry," Jay sheepishly says.

"Uh, do you have something I could change into? " I ask. I had just realized that I was still in my dress and the consciousness that I was wearing something that is definitely not meant to be slept in made me feel even more uncomfortable.

HEESEUNG

"Sure, you can grab a t-shirt from my closet and I think I may have a pair of shorts that could fit you," Sunghoon says to Yunhee. She thanks him profusely, giving him a big hug and running out of the room. That dress must really be intolerable if she was that grateful.

From my peripheral vision, I notice Jay giving Sunghoon a stank eye. He takes notice of this too and we look at each other, a wicked plan already formulating in our heads.

When Yunhee gets out of the shower, we make it a point to be as clingy to her as possible. It's usually very difficult to get any type of reaction out of Jay, so seeing him this affected by the bare minimum was definitely refreshing.

"Omg Yunnie let me style your hair please???" I ask her, giving my best puppy eyes.

"Style? But I just need to dry it and-"

"Uh-uh-uh. We're styling it even if there's no occasion. What do you say?" I convince her, making sure I still had Jay's attention. Said guy was aggressively sipping on piping hot tea watching the scene unfold.

She thinks for a while. "Okay, I guess. You're better with hair than me anyways." I clap my hands in glee, immediately getting to work as Sunghoon brings me a blow dryer and comb. We secretly do a fist bump seeing that we were successfully getting on Jay's nerves. I needed to know if he was into Yunhee for real or it was a temporary infatuation arising from high testosterone or something last night.

Just as I finish with her hair while simultaneously gossiping and obnoxiously laughing about anything and everything, Jay finally sets his mug down with a loud thud.

"I'm leaving," he says, teeth almost clenched through his words.

"So soon? But you're the host!" Sunghoon says in fake disappointment, trying to hide his grin.

"Nah. I have- I've got some...stuff at home which I need to finish," he says unconvincingly, heading for the front door. Jake too gets up from his seat and grabs his car keys.

"I'm going to leave too. It's hella uncomfortable without my glasses," he says as he dejectedly puts on contact lenses.

"Ooh, can I hop in? You already know where I live and it's on your way," Yunhee asks. She had no idea she was making this whole show a hundred times more interesting without knowing. Jake readily agrees.
