Ravina
Stepping out is exactly what I needed to breathe. It's not the overly tight dress that's taking all my breath but the people around me, the people in my life that are sucking each and every once of life in my blood. I am currently facing the moving streets of cars and people who pass by the street feel calming along with the breeze that kisses my skin softly. Showing me what a genuine delicate touch feels like.
My hands wrap around my body, brushing up and down softly as if I am cold when my temperature is perfect, I just need a hug. I just need to feel better. I just need to calm down.
"It's not safe for you out here." I jump at the sound of the voice, turning my body around to meet my intruder. I place a hand on my chest when I realize it's not a thief some criminal but a well dressed man, he might've come out for air like me I guess.
"Goodness you frightened me." My breathing calms down as I straighten myself and smooth down my dress to feel better.
The stranger doesn't comment, he merely cocks his head to the side. The action causes me to look at him now, like really look at him and my chest burns just at the sight of him. He's.. handsome. That's an understatement actually he's freaking gorgeous.
Tall, muscular and intimidating. He wears a classic black suit with a coat on top but it's nothing like the ones I saw inside because even under that coat you can see his body fills it whole, like it was made and tailored to his perfect body. Silence dances between us as both our eyes face each other with unconcealed interest. From this view I can see him, all of him and not by the harsh bright light of electricity but the normal moonlight of the beautiful New York sky.
His brown eyes hold mine in this intense stare down. While mine take in everything about his appearance and I'll admit he's everything a woman would desire in a man's appearance. His hair thick and wavy hair is as black as the night and wet from his gel like he had just come out of a shower. He has not a small beard around his chin but a well trimmed thick bottom and small mustache.
"Like what you see?" I blink a couple of times when I realize I have been shamelessly gawking at the man.
My face catches fire and suddenly the already chilly night feels scorching, shoot I forgot where I was for a moment.
"Excuse me, I must head back." I quickly say after fixing my posture. This man is making me feel hot and uncomfortable but somehow it's not in a bad way. I'll assume it's because of how he looks, even though admittedly I've never had felt nervous around a man. Yet this man is at least four feet away from me, standing with his hands tucked in his dress pants.
"And here I thought you just wanted out of this boring event." He stops me in my tracks with his words, I feel offended by his words even though technically it isn't an offense. But it is rude.
Instead of saying anything I simply chuckle, looking at my hands before I put them against my stomach. "Of course you're one of them." I say more to myself, than to him but I know he heard me loud and clear. He doesn't say anything, lifting an eyebrow as if he's encouraging me to say more, and I was going to anyway.
"You're one of those privileged pricks that don't get a point of a charity event because all you're here for is what? To show off your expensive sports car?" Yes I'll admit my words are uncalled for but they are true, men like this. Matter of fact, people like him are truly the world's curse, because they have everything and now they look down on others.
"Is that so?" He surprises me by taking a step towards me, his dark eyes don't show an ounce of emotion, not even annoyance but I know I hit home. "Then what would you suggest I do?"
