Ravina
My feet may be sore and I may regret wearing heels for this particular occasion but I think I feel a whole lot better now. We are doing my favourite part of wedding planning which is cake tasting.
Jiovanni tells me should my fiancé have not had a venue under his name already, we would be driving around the city looking for one. Thank goodness for that, I would have hated that part.
He states that he has talked to his stylist about measurements and whatnot since he can't avail himself to try on a suit. His suit is already in the works for his wedding. I can't believe he has a stylist, it doesn't sound at all like him.
Right now Jiovanni is on a call whereas his entourage and I try wedding cakes. I've already tried all of them and I loved every single one. But chocolate seems to win me over any time. This is the most selfish thing I will do but if nobody likes chocolate then screw them. It is my wedding anyway.
Cole went to get something to eat in a nearby restaurant because he claims he doesn't eat sweets. I think he's just boring.
Just as I sit on the couch of the booth of this lovely big bakery, enjoying my chocolatey velvet cake, someone suddenly sits next to me.
"Another chocolate lover." He says earning my attention, as I turn to him I'm surprised at how attractive he looks.
Short blonde hair golden eyes, a dangerous combination. He looks like what I would describe as a sunny day perfect for surfing. Except he doesn't seem like a surf guy, he just looks casually dressed.
"Hi." I say placing my cake down on my lap.
"I'm Johnny. Sorry that sounded better in my head." He says shyly and I chuckle softly at his shyness. It's rather cute.
"Ravina. I think it needed more work." I reply playfully.
"Honestly I needed an excuse to speak with you. I've been looking at you since I got here, you're really beautiful." He says, boldly he states that he finds me attractive.
I mean I have had people hit on me but they haven't been gentlemen about it. Not even my own fiancé. "Uh- thank you." I say coming short for words..
"And if you're wondering why I'm here, I'm not the groom. My sister is the one getting married, she likes to make me follow her." He says pointing to her sister who seems to be here with a friend unlike me.
My eyes turn back to him. "If I had a brother I would do the same." I reply to which he laughs at. His laugh is soft and hearty, a very enjoyable sound in one's ear. I'll be honest, given different circumstances I would definitely date Johnny.
"Well, maybe you should be my bride then." He says, almost hesitantly.
"Actually I-" Before I finish speaking, Cole shows up at a very bad time.
"She's already engaged. Move." He barks at the man, a gruesome tone that it seems if he doesn't listen, he might just get the beating of his life.
"Alright man, jeez." Says Johnny with his hands up, already detecting the danger. "I'll see you around Ravina." He said with a goodbye.
"Bye, Johnny." I waved at him before facing Cole. "You're supposed to be my bodyguard, not my Father." I say crossing my arms in annoyance.
"And you're supposed to be cake tasting for your wedding, not entertaining other men." He shots back, which is the most he has ever spoken.
"Aren't you supposed to be here to ensure that doesn't happen? Whose fault is that really?" We're really playing tick and tack right now and he seems not to know I'm not some dumb useless princess he can treat as he please.
I get on my feet as I get ready to leave, I'm done with this place now and I can feel he's done with me. "You're not my husband Cole. And if you were nicer, I wouldn't have to be a bitch. Now do your job and take me home." I spit before I head for Jiovanni to inform him of my departure.
The others clearly seemed entertained by our interaction. I hate having to use my privilege on people, reminding Cole he works for me and is supposed to do everything I tell him to is one of those instances. I don't like having to do that to someone because people do it to me.
But damn, I can't handle being dragged by my brother, my husband and now my bodyguard? Not in this life I won't. Maybe being in this place is somehow giving me a backbone.
