In the aftermath of Robotnik being overthrown by Sonic, Sally and the rest of the Freedom Fighters, the Kingdom of Acorn was in a period of uncertainty as no one knew if the king could be found or if Sally would step up as their queen.

Though one day, Aura returned after being missing from the group of friends since Robotnik's coup, giving some good news that the gang was back together again as he helped them on finding the king.

Upon freeing King Maximilian from the Zone of Silence, they found that the former wizard Ixis Naugus had originally put a spell on him that both controlled him and protected him from the zone's elements, being outside the zone making him start to crystallize.

To make matters worse, they learned of three factions trying to take over the Kingdom of Acorn in the absence of King Max or Dr Robotnik.

Ixis Naugus: Claiming he has the right to rule due to Max surrendering the title to him in exchange for Naugus providing protection from the zone.

Iron Queen: The last techno mage alive and married to the king of the Iron Dominion, a land that had quickly conquered all four clans of the Dragon Kingdom.

Snivley: Dr Ivo Robotnik's nephew and former servant, having access to many of his robots in the doctor's defeat.

But they had extra help in the form of (your OC), as well as Aura and 4 other new members.

Fury: The green vigilante, one aggressive and has no issue doing things the hard and brutal way

Bopper: The black bear brawler with strength he grew up with

Hip: the orange hawk who's playful and clumsy personality hides a genius with phoenix powers

Class: a dog detective and conspiracy theorist that's able to uncover secrets the heroes need

After a test run with the new members, they moved to see if Sally could use the Sword of Acorns in the event they had to fight against Naugus, which went badly on a rescue mission and briefly controlled Sally until they got her to snap out of it.

But the distraction over on the rescue mission was all the Iron Dominion needed to sneak in and take over Mobotropolis, Mobians put under the forced regime of Iron Queen's growing power as she took control of Nicole and made her a servant Iron Nicole, the Freedom Fighters running away in exile from the capital.

The heroes moved to try undoing Iron Queen's control over Nicole, successful but having to let Nicole pretend to be on her side so they wouldn't catch onto their plans.

They then moved to convince the 4 clan brides of the Dragon Kingdom to back out of the Iron Dominion, showing them each that the Freedom Fighters were the superior and more righteous side than them.

Iron Queen and the entire Iron Dominion was overthrown as the Kingdom of Acorn was yet again freed....but at the cost of Nicole being unpopular with the people and forced to leave for a while.

Naugus was the next to move and try taking the throne, but that was eventually dashed for good when Hip used his phoenix powers as a last resort and destroyed his mind, left nothing but a mindless or insane husk he once was.

The Freedom Fighters then added an unexpected member to the team, Fiona Fox, a female fox with an unknown background...

...until an alternate version of Sonic called Scourge and his Destructix showed up, which revealed a past Fiona had come to regret recently.

After beating them and handing them over to the Zone Cops, the heroes let Fiona stay with them to get a fresh restart on life and to make up for actions with Scourge.

The final battle with Snivley eventually arrived and the heroes fought with everything to finally beat him...only for a shocking twist.

Robotnik is alive and has returned!

Turns out he cheated death and got away with what he needed for invasion #2 with the help of Lord Rai, the leader of the Fallen and one of Tails' uncles.

Another attempt at using the Doomsday Machine was done by Robotnik, thankfully foiled by the heroes........but at the cost of Sally being turned into Mecha Sally and serving Robotnik.

Sometime later, Lord Rai convinced Robotnik to release Chaos and try to use him against Sonic to take over, with Robotnik unaware of Chaos' hatred against the world and desire to destroy all civilizations that harmed the Chao.

Sonic turns Super and beats Perfect Chaos enough for him to stop his rampage and see that Chao live peacefully, giving up his vengeance and leaving with Tikal to live in peace himself.

Lord Rai, furious at his plans of the world being destroyed were ruined by Sonic, attacks the Blue Blur in an epic battle that the good guys won.

(Though depending on the choices the roleplayer made, Lord Rai will either die or be freed from his corruption, while either Orion or Sensei Ki die from the fight.)

Robotnik had been fatally wounded from the battle and winds up remaking himself into Dr Eggman.

Eggman then builds his Interstellar Amusement Park as a guise to pretend he's changed ever since Lord Rai's betrayal, though secretly he was capturing Wisps to use their energy to create a mind control weapon.

Sonic, Tails, Aura and (your OC) free the Wisps and stops Eggman's plans, with Wisps now being part of the world's population.

Eggman then discovered his grandfather Gerald's creation called Shadow and used him to get Sonic framed and arrested.

After the heroes free him while investigating Shadow's background, Eggman threatens the world with the Eclipse Cannon on the Space Colony Ark, forcing our heroes in a race against time to stop him.

Though they beat Eggman and his team, Gerald's revenge plan activates and tries to crash the Ark into the planet.

Shadow, having soon remembered what Maria really wanted him to do, teams up to stop this.

Sonic, Shadow and Aura stop the Ark and save the world....but at the cost of Shadow and Aura falling to the planet below, sadly assumed dead by everyone.

In the aftermath of the fight, Fury quits the Freedom Fighters and the S.O.S, feeling some of his actions left him responsible for the deaths that day.

Now the Freedom Fighters stand as wounded victors so far, losing many thanks to conflict as no one knows what to do next in the face of Eggman still plotting.
