When Jennie opened her eyes the next morning, she was confused to find herself in an unfamiliar room. Wiping the sleep from her eyes, she set up and stretched her arms. Looking around, she remembered she was in Lisa's apartment, in her spare room, where her sister usually stayed. Her sister ... not her girlfriend. God, Jennie, you are barely awake, and your mind is traveling to dangerous ground already. But it was difficult not to think about her while staying in her apartment with her only some steps away. I wonder what she wears while sleeping - bad thoughts, she scolded herself mentally. Stop it!

But Jennie couldn't lie to herself. She was interested in her, and she'd never reacted like this before. Her body was on fire at her touch, and her soul was crying out for her. And this scared her because she felt vulnerable. Her soul had already gotten so many scars that she was not sure it would be able to take more, especially in this case.

She snapped back into consciousness by a knock on her door and a voice, her voice calling: "Jennie, are you awake?"

"Yes, you can come in if you want," Jennie informed her.

The door opened, and Lisa stepped in. Jennie could not help but feel a bit of disappointment when she saw her fully dressed: "Morning," Lisa greeted, giving her a smile. "I wonder if you'd care for some breakfast?"

"Good morning to you too. Breakfast? That would be great," she replied to smiling back. "I just would like to take a shower and get dressed."

"You do that," Lisa nodded and was about to turn when she remembered something: "Don't forget to call your parents."

She made a face, but then sighed: "I'll do it, but after I've had some coffee."

"Fine. See you soon." With that, she closed the door again.

Returning back to the kitchen, Lisa tried to get her concentration back to bacon and eggs and away from the image of Jennie rumpled form in her sister's bed. She'd looked so adorable in her pajamas, the tousled hair, and the eyes half-closed. Waking up beside her had to be like heaven.

Lisa shook her head and put some slices of bacon into a pan. She smiled when she heard the shower running, and then another mental picture hit her, and she abruptly turned towards the coffee machine to get herself busy.

The shower was still running when the phone rang. Turning down the heat, so the bacon would not be burned, she headed to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Ms. Manoban?"a male voice said on the other end.

"Yes? Who is it?"

"So, she's got herself a PI, that little bitch."

Lisa became annoyed and asked: "Who the hell are you?"

"Nobody you know. Tell the bitch we know she's got the stuff. And she can't hide from us forever. So, she'll better make sure we get it soon. It's ours."

"What are you talking about?" she wanted to know.

"Ask her, she knows. Tell her, Kai isn't one to be fooled. She was lucky yesterday," he laughed shortly. "Luckier than her friend. Well, tell her if she doesn't want to end like that little whore, she'll better not keep others property."

Lisa took a deep breath: "Kai, right? Well, you better keep your hands off her, do you understand me? Or you might get trouble you're not ready to handle."

The other man laughed again: "Oh, I am so afraid. Girl, you have no idea what you are dealing with. You might be tough, I've heard about you, but this is out of your league. I will call again." With this the connection was cut.
