Jennie drank the last drop of her coffee when the doorbell rang. Lisa gave her a look, then she smiled and rose to answer the door. Actually, she was glad for it. They had barely spoken during breakfast. Both were feeling the sudden tension between them.

Opening the door, she was looking into well-known faces: "Yaya, Nadech?"

"La La Lisa." her partner glanced at his watch. "It's almost ten and you're still not in the office. So, we thought we'd check on you."

The tall girl raised an eyebrow: "Check on me? Nadech, there have been days I didn't come to the office at all. So, what is this all about?"

Yaya sighed and shot her husband a look, then she faced Lisa again: "Alright. Mr. Park, Jennie's father was calling me this morning. he wanted to know if you are trustworthy regarding ... regarding women."

"WHAT?" Lisa almost shouted. "What on earth..."

"My friend, could we just come in," Nadech asked. "I think this isn't a conversation we should have in a doorframe."

"Sure," Lisa made an inviting gesture. The couple went in and on seeing Jennie sitting at the breakfast table Yaya raised her eyebrows. Getting her expression, her boss let out an exasperated sigh: "You have still too much fantasy." Oh, you're such a liar, Lisa, she thought. Just think about your fantasy!

At that moment Jennie turned round and saw the guests: "Yaya?"

"Hi Jennie," the brunette greeted the blonde. "Nice to see you." She walked over and extended a hand.

Jennie shook it: "And you. Although I'd wish the circumstances would have been different."

Yaya shrugged: "That's life. We cannot choose, it just happens."

"Hear, hear, my wife the wise woman," Nadech joked and joined her to greet Jennie as well. "I am Nadech Kugimiya, just calls me Nadech."

"Nice to meet you. So, you are Lisa's partner."

"That's me," he nodded and made a small bow. "I'm the one who knows everyone and everything and gets any needed information."

Rolling her eyes, Yaya added: "And some nobody wants to hear about. Jennie, just ignore him. I do it all the time," she grinned.

"Aye, but you love me, Tee Rak (darling or honey)."

"Especially when he uses that Thai nickname," Yaya told her friend and looked at the coffee pot. Sighing she turned towards her boss: "And I thought I would at least get some caffeine for caring."

Her husband took her hand, kissed it and then grabbed the pot: "I am going to get you some new." With this he disappeared in the kitchen.

"He is nice," Jennie said and smiled.

"Yeah, well, most of the time. But let's not talk about him, his ego is big enough already. Let's talk about your dad and the fact you are staying with Lisa," she turned round and faced her boss again: "In her apartment."

Lisa sighed and joined the two girls at the table: "What exactly did Mr. Park want to know?" she asked her employee.

"Well, he was interested in your private life. He wanted to know if you are married."

"Oh god," Jennie groaned and gave Lisa an apologetic look. "I definitely have to talk to him. You are right, he still thinks I am his little girl."

"He told me, that his 'little girl' spent the night at your apartment." Yaya looked from Lisa to Jennie: " Your father, Jennie, is over-protective, if I may say. But under the circumstances it is understandable. Last time you fell for someone you ran away."
