The dress theme wasn't a big deal but her overused brain forced her to wear heels at the last moment to match the height with Fakhir was the big deal.
However the party went well, but when it was time for dinner, her legs gave up. Fakhir brought all her desired food to the table and fed her.
And when it was time to go, her shoe bite was standing against her avenging all the enmity. Barely meeting Aira, she had reached the gate when she started falling. Fakhir held her in a nick of time saving her to land on the red carpet, he pulled a nearby chair and made Dua sit.
"Tum yahan baitho."
He sat on a chair next to her, bowed down and one by one he easily opened the straps of her heels and took out cooling gel from his pocket and started applying it to her blisters. Dua look at him in shock.
"Tum ise apne saath liye ghumte ho."
"Haan, tumhare liye kharida tha." He said putting the lid of the ointment.
"Kyun?"
"Farewell wale waqt tumne kafi shikayatein ki thi Atiqa se in heels ki." He said while standing. "Hum aate hain."
She did not know when he disappeared from sight and brought a soft slipper in front of her. He remember her words, it was not enough that he removed the heels from her feet and applied ointment.
"Inhe pehen lo."
Keeping the slippers down, he had picked up her heels. She shook her head in agreement and slipped into the soft, velvety slippers.
He was walking forward holding her heels with one hand and her hand with the other, she was walking behind her.

"Tumhe usi waqt mere dil ne qabool kar liya tha. Bas labon ko ek aur incident chahiye tha." She said playing with the railing design.
He was quiet. He always wanted to know the reason behind her acceptance for this marriage as she is not someone to go with someone else decision for her life. So, he just accepted that it was all to stay close to his mother and sister.
And now when she is confessing he can't calm his heart to act normal.
"Main ne aaj tumhare favourite colour ka suit pehna hai." She was saying as if trying to make him notice, which he did as soon as his eyes fell on her. "Ammi, keh rahi thin, laal joda pehnu nayi naveli dulhan ki tarah lekin tumhe to blue pasand hai na."
"Jaanna chahogi kyu pasand hai blue colour?"
"Kyu?" She moved herself quite a bit making her look at his direction, while he was looking at the moon.
"Tumne nikah wale din blue and white frock suit pehna tha."
Her excited self went numb she doesn't even remember and he...
She had never wanted a man in her life and this person who remembers her silly words, walked with her heels in her hand, made the color his favourite which she wore years back.
He was hers. Only hers. From the very first moment even when she wasn't thinking about him.
"Agar main is nikah pe na manti to?" She said as if trying to hear him out.
"To physically na sahi lekin emotionally to Dua humesha se hi humare hisse ki hai." He said slowly and affirm looking in her eyes, trying to calm his heart which didn't fail to skip a beat as soon as their eyes met.
"Fakhir..." She looked down, after mustering a barrel of courage she can speak now but not by looking at him.
"hummm!"
