<In a village to the West of Mistral>
In this swampy land, human villages were few and far between.
In one such village, a young child is being scolded by her mother for running away unattended again.
"How many times have I told you to not leave the walls ha?! Answer me! How many times?!"
The child answers in a casual, unconcerned tone, "About 32 times now, if you count the waterfall incident."
The mother, predictably, got angrier. "You unfilial child! Oh Oum, how will I survive with this devil on my hands!!"
She turns back to deliver some 'motherly love' to the child, just to find her gone again. "SAPHRON!!!"
The child named Saphron was already out of the village, unseen by the village guards and their dogs.
She stopped as she reached her destination, far away from the village.
A sword lay embedded in a boulder.
It was a simple sword, unadorned by any garish decorations. As Saphron approaches the sword, it starts vibrating, as if feeling her approach.
Saphron reaches out her hand and the sword leaps into it eagerly.
Saphron sighed as she felt the familiar rush of emotions cascade through her.
"Yes, yes, I'm sorry I left you in a rock out here. I promise not to do it next time."The girl and her sword began walking (The girl walked, the sword floated) along a path known only to them.
They crested a hill, just to see a magnificent view of some nearby cliffs. At a distance no human should be able to see, Saphron sees a group of bandits assault a trading caravan.
The sword buzzes faster and faster.
Saphron smiled, a childlike delight filling her heart at being able to act the hero, a desire any child her age has.The 7 year old child swings a sword thousands of kilometres away, and on the Mistral Trade Route, everyone associated with the word 'bandit' died.
Former bandits, new bandits, those with bandit in their names, all of them were decapitated so cleanly, not even they realized they were dead until their heads fell off.
Satisfied with her 'good' deed, the young swordwoman and her sword return happily.
Saphron 'cuts' away the perception of the village guards once more and enters the village with ease.
She entered her home, to find her mother waiting with a dark look on her face and a wooden stick in her hand.
"I can explain?"
*CRACK*
(A/N)
Short chapter, I know. There's just not much to write about someone whose whole powerset is just, 'cut'.
Fun lore drop though, Saphron is the only one of the four, who didn't come in through the path created by Object:Error.
Saphron is someone from Remnant and not an 'Outsider' like Error and Calamity.
The sword is.Think of it as a symbiote, but less alive.
What do you think the Fourth's power is?
