'The fuck?' I thought to myself as I saw the video Ozpin sent me.
The Curse, Vacuo's Superior, had somehow managed to kill Salem and take control of them.
The Grimm were mutating. Evolving.
"I can't deal with this sober."
I sighed and took a swig out of my flask.<Jaune PoV>
I was dreaming. I hadn't a dream in a while.
I used to have them, but they were nightmares.
After a point, they disappeared too.
I focused on the dream around me.
I was young again. I saw the scene around me.
Instantly, my mindset became harder to maintain.
I was back at the dining table, on that dreadful night.
My father was still in front of us, not a monster yet.
My mother wasn't dead. My sisters weren't dead.
I waited for that monster to appear, to kill them, to make them into monsters as well.
Or for them to blame me.
But nothing happened. We just ate dinner.
The sheer normality of the situation brought up a feeling I seldom felt.
Nostalgia.
I ate the pasta on my plate.
It wasn't anything special or great.
But during that time, it felt like the greatest thing I had ever had.
I just took in everything. All seven of my sisters clamouring over who gets what.
My father and mother talking about some new building being erected.
My mother noticed that I was quiet, and asked me, "What's wrong, Jaune? Is the pasta not good?"
"It's good."
"It's really, very good."I said, while gluttonously eating the pasta.
Then my mother opened her mouth and said, "Wake up Jaune."
Her voice was Pyrrha's.
The dream shattered and I shot awake.

I flinched and reached for my weapon on instinct as Jaune shot up from his bed, before realizing the battle was over.
"Jaune?" I called out tentatively, not removing my hand from Milo's hilt.
