While meeting with Team RWBY again was a pleasant surprise, I couldn't allow myself to enjoy it for too long.

I quickly stuffed the burgeoning feeling of positivity back down, and headed to train.

Aura wasn't enough.

My body wasn't enough.

My very nature as a human, was holding me back.

I couldn't protect anybody like this.

The things taking place in Remnant had far crossed the realm of 'supernatural'.

Everything was simply way too absurd.

I knew why this was happening, and so did Ozpin.

'The Superiors.'

Their very existence, had changed Remnant.

And I was nowhere close to being strong enough to be able to kill one.

The Curse remained just as out of reach as always.

I didn't despair, but felt the futility of my actions deeply.

'Humanity's effort, is not enough.'

Reaching the training area recommended by Winter, Weiss' sister, I entered and began swinging my sword.

Nothing too fancy.

Just simple bladework to occupy my mind.

I felt Pyrrha's bundle of negativity (disheartened, loneliness, guilt, shame, disappointment), appear.

I half-heartedly deflected her sword as she wordlessly began sparring with me.

I calmly analyzed her, her movements, her habits I had taken note of.

My mind felt strangely fast, as if more processing capabillities had opened up after losing so many emotions.

I slid Crocea Mors down Milo's blade, abandoning the attack as she switched Milo to it's rifle form mid-swing and shot towards me, pulling the trigger with her ring finger.

I tanked the bullets, and continued by shoulder checking her, sending her stumbling back.

Not giving her time to recover, I opened my sheath into it's shield form as I brought it up, managing to land a shield bash to her chin.

While her Aura would handle that, such force could not be fully dispersed, leading to her being kept off balance.

To her credit, she did not hold back against me by not using her Semblance.

Akouo, her shield, had detached itself from her back as she flipped out of range.

It buzzed towards me from behind as Pyrrha charged towards me from the front.

I made the choice to end this in the fastest way possible.

I put Crocea Mors down, as Milo's sword form whizzed towards my face.

Pyrrha hesitated due to still holding at least some feelings for me.

Just as planned.

I grabbed Akouo out of the air and hit her with it while dodging the slowed sword strike.

Crocea Mors' hilt buried itself in her abdomen, not breaking her Aura, but pushing her back.

With another Aura enhanced swing, Pyrrha was forced to use both her weapons to block, leaving me free to kick herin the side.
