There was screaming and choking black smoke coming into the village as everyone had been sleeping.
Nixie was awakened to the sound of chaos and the smell and sight of thick black smoke.
She sat up in her bed and noticed that her mates weren't in bed with her.
She wished for the health and safety of everyone in her family and all of the males she had claimed as well as her darling daughters to survive this.
She made a couple of more wishes then passed out and fell over into the furs.
Yiop is helping move everyone into the caves at the back of the village when he feels that Nixie has woken up, he immediately leaves his apprentice to continue helping and he immediately leaves for home, when he left her she was asleep and in no danger as the fire was not on the side of the village that their home was on.
He had doused the house in water hoping that it wouldn't catch aflame with being wet.
Thinking that she was in danger he flew home quickly, as he was just in front of the hut he ran into Brennan coming back from hunting for the upcoming trip.
They had let her sleep because she had mated Phantom over the last couple of days and she was exhausted.
The three of her mates had been taking turns taking care of Hoshi and Vasha the twins so that Nixie could rest.
During the night the furthest huts had caught on fire and the hunters on watch had alerted the chiefs and the hunters that were sleeping to help put it out.
They had caught a few ferals that were burning the walls on the side of the village where the huts were first on fire at.
Yiop had been woken up and immediately took the kits to the chief and the caves with the other elderly Beastmen taking shelter.
He had left Brennan and Phantom securing the two feral Beastmen they had caught for questioning to check on Nixie, he checked on her before going to help with getting the villagers to safety.
When he felt Nixie's distress he immediately left to check on her. Finding her unconscious and shallowly breathing,he picked her up to check her over and couldn't find anything wrong.
He carried her to the cave and laid her down and left to find Phantom to have him take Nixie to the queen for healing.
Phantom was still a little tired from mating for days but he was happy, he was patrolling when he smelt smoke and saw the ferals throwing sticks that were on fire at the fence catching it and the closest huts on fire.
Due to the building materials used for the huts the fire caught and spread quickly.
He fought off a lot of ferals with the help of the other hunters and Brennan.
He hauled one of the ferals to his feet and started questioning him.
He had just killed the two ferals they kept alive when Yiop came running up to him with a distressed look on his face and an unconscious Nixie in his arms.
Yiop quickly explains that he found her unconscious and shallowly breathing and begs Phantom to take her to Encto city for healing by the Queen.
Phantom packs up just enough food for the trip to Encto City and gathers Nixie into his arms and flys to the city to beg for help from the Queen.
They had barely stayed ahead of the large group of colossals and feral beastmen that were going through the valley and headed towards Encto city.
Now Phantom really had to move fast, he had planned to rest but with danger headed to the queens city he had to not only get help for his female he now had to warn the queen about the ferals and colossals headed their way.
He bound Nixie tightly to his body so that his wings would be free for flying and flew nonstop til he got to the gates of Encto City.
While Nixie was unconscious and Yiop was checking her over he discovered that she was Pregnant again and it is another set of twins unbelievable but true, he had told Phantom to make sure that the queen knew so she could hopefully heal Nixie.
She wasn't even that big yet but it was worrisome with her being unconscious.
She needed to be taken directly to the queen and no one else.
So here they are at the gates to the city and the guards are refusing to let them in, there is a lot of yelling then the queen and her mates are there and asking what is going on!
The queen looks into Phantom's eyes and tells him to tell her everything and tells him she will know if he is lying, he tells her everything from the moment he got to his village and up to him bringing Nixie to her for healing.
The Queen starts crying and is immediately turned away from Phantom and Nixie and burying her face into her mates chest.
She finally collects herself enough to order him to quickly bring Nixie into the palace to be healed.
Phantom follows Queen Genisis and her males to the palace at the mountain and inside the caverns and caves that make up the royal palace.
Phantom doesn't even look around as they walk through the palace, he is too busy watching his females expressions and following the queen to wherever they are going.
After quite a long walk they finally make it to a rather large room with a huge pile of furs and not much else in it.
He lays his female down as he was directed to by the queen.
He steps back and is directed to leave the room to allow the queen to heal his mate, the Queen's mates take Phantom to a room just a little ways away and they start talking.
He tells his story again to the males mated to the queen, he also told them that he had been recently accepted into the Queen's guard.
It was hours until the queen was finally done healing Nixie.
She was so exhausted that she had to be carried to her sleeping room and put to bed by her males, Phantom hurried to Nixie's side and enfolded her into his arms and slept.
