Everyone was planting their crops and the hunters had finally found another good hunting ground.
Life in the protected valley was good and everyone was happy.
But Nixie and Phantom were still without anyone else but each other and the kits.
As time went by Nixie was happy with her life and wanted to stay as she was, but another secret part of herself wanted more mates and more kits.
Nixie hadn't had any more kits since her triplet boys were born and she wanted more kits.
She made a huge wish and put all her heart into it.
She passed out and when Phantom came and found her he lost it.
Phantom felt Nixie and her overwhelming sadness, and then he felt her exhaustion.
He tried to reach her through her mind and didn't get a response, he couldn't think straight and he was overwhelmed with worry for his sweet female,his little jewel.
He raced home and that's when he found her, she was barely breathing.
He gathered her limp body into his arms and told all the kits to follow him quickly to the queen for her to help their mother beast.
The two oldest females, Hoshi and Vasha helped carry their younger siblings.
They rushed to the Queen to have their Mother healed.
"Nixie was just exhausted and in need of a healing sleep", the queen gently informs Phantom and all of the worried kits.
Because of the lateness and because everyone was so tired from the rushed trip to the queen, the family decided to just stay put until Nixie awoke.
Two days go by before Nixie awakened.
As she looks around and rubs her eyes she feels that her latest wish will come true, the bigger the wish the longer she had to sleep to regain her spent energy.
Nixie was finally back home with Phantom and her kits when a big commotion started up close to the walls of the valley, booming and crashing sounds were heard as they echoed through the expanse of the settlement.
A cloud rose up from one of the newly found tunnels and shortly afterwards there was the sound of bellowing and snorting.
It sounded like a stampede of colossals tearing through the valley.
The sounds of screams and panicked Beastmen could be heard echoing throughout the valley and Phantom came running into their home and rushed the whole family into the security of their underground panic room.
Nixie held onto her kits tightly and looked at Phantom with scared eyes, she was still weak from making her last wish and felt almost useless to protect herself and her family.
There was dust coming down from the cracks in the trapdoor and it fell down into their hair and onto their bodies, the dust caused them to sneeze and cough.
Nixie pulled the kits further from the door and tried cleaning them off, it was everywhere and so she gave up until they would be able to get back out and hopefully be able to take a bath and clean up.
Nixie was really worried when time went by and it got quiet and Phantom still hadn't returned to get them out.
She had the girls take their younger brothers and keep them towards the back of the shelter while she crept over to the trapdoor, she gets to the door and pushes on it, trying to get it open, she pushes with all her strength.
The door wouldn't open, she couldn't even get it to move.
She kept trying but nothing worked.
She looked through the cracks in the door to see absolute darkness.it looked as though the hours had passed and it was pitch black.
"Night has fallen?" She asks herself, "I didn't think we had been down here that long", she mumbled to herself,she looks back at her kits and sees that they are all snuggled up together on the furs and fast asleep.
She finally calls out to Phantom in their personal mind link, she rubs her mark and hopes for the best.
She is really worried until she hears movement up above her and then she ducks back into the back of the shelter when she realizes that it isn't Phantom that she hears up above her.
He answered her just when she was thinking it was him above moving around.
"Don't move my love stay hidden there are unknown Beastmen in the valley and I am with the queen and her males fighting off some males who are trying to get to the queen."
"I am making my way to you now and it is taking awhile to get there with all of the damage to the valley, the queen is helping with her powers but there is a lot of fighting between us and where you are hidden,so please stay quiet and hidden." Phantom sounds worried.
Nixie hears shuffling and snorting sounds coming from above her and is frightened by everything that is happening above her hiding place luckily she has the ability to see in the dark and will be able to see if anyone comes down to where she is.
A loud scraping noise sounds out and echos throughout the small hiding space and a voice starts talking.
Dust and dirt rain down through the cracks in the trap door as something large and heavy is slid across the trapdoor, floor and the voice is making noises of struggle as the object slides across the floor above.
Growling and groaning is loud and animalistic sounding amid the sliding sounds above her head.
A deep voice whispers" Is someone there?" He asks
Nixie is afraid to answer because she doesn't want to be taken away from her family and raped or killed. She sits in silence and tells her kits to stay quiet through their family mental link.
After her first kits were born she made a wish for each kit she had to have this mental link and after she mated she added in that wish to have all of her mates to have the mental link as well.
She hears a soft knocking sound and the same whispering voice, " I can smell you sweet female, I promise that I only want to protect you."
She squeezes her eyes tightly shut and decides to make just a tiny wish of protection for her the kits and Phantom.
"I wish for a protective barrier for myself,my kits and my mate and any future kits and mates, I wish for this barrier to protect me and my family and future family from those who would harm us or cause us to be harmed by anyone else including each other."
She quickly adds in "Also I wish to be able to tell the truth from lies and be able to tell evil from good."
She felt the wish taking hold and opens her eyes to see....
