Chapter Six

The next day at school Melinda had a note in her locker. Melinda had smiled and read the note, it said Dear Melinda, Your so beautiful and I had a lot of fun splashing around with you. Having dinner with you, and I hope that we could do it again sometime. I hope that you had just as much fun as I did from Jim. Melinda had smiled and wrote in her notebook a note to Jim. She wrote Dear Jim yes I had a lot of fun, I hope that we could some day as well. I hope that you don't mind me saying that you have a great house from Melinda. She had went in his room and had giving him the note. He smiled at her and told her thank you for this. Melinda smiled and said that he is welcome that she will be back. She is just gonna let her friends know that she is, gonna be writing her paper. That she was almost done with it and that it would need, to be printed soon. Jim told her okay Mel I will see you in a bit. Melinda went to tell Andrea, Delia and Charlie that she was gonna be working on her paper. They told her okay, but they couldn't help but wonder why lately she, didn't mind being around Mr. Clancy so much. Delia, and Andrea had their suspicion on why that she had a crush on him, but didn't want to say anything. Melinda went back into Jim classroom, that made him smile and handed her the laptop to finish up her work. She Melinda did just that but didn't have time to print it. Because the bell rang, Jim told her go head and head to your class. I will save your work and, you can come back and print it later, Melinda had kissed his cheek and thanked him. When she left Jim had smiled about that and went on with the rest of classes. Melinda had went on with hers as well like nothing had happened. Mandy had her suspicion about them but never said anything due to the fact, that she didn't want to say anything to anyone. In case it back fired on her, because she was having a affair with the vice principal Mr. Wakanna. And if anyone had found out about them, then she would be suspended and he could get fired too. She didn't want any of that to happen at all. So she just went on with what she was doing. Never told her friends about it at all. All though Melinda, Charlie, Delia and Andrea had all had their suspicion that there was something going between them. Because there was things that she was getting away with that others were not. No one thought that was fair at all, but they could never get Mandy to open up about what was going on at all. Melinda had told them that she was going to print her work off at lunch, then she would be back. They told her okay, when the time came for lunch Melinda stopped at Jim's class room and asked him for her paper, He told her that he hasn't had the time. To come back after lunch, or after she eats. He should have it printed for her by then. Right after Melinda left, one of Jim's friends named Bobbie had dropped off, some tacos to Jim, it was from Taco bell. That day at the cafeteria they were serving something Melinda didn't like so she didn't eat. She asked if she can go see Mr. Clancy the teacher just this once since she had no pass. Melinda went in the class and asked about it. Jim was eating lunch himself. Melinda asked about the paper. He handed her the laptop and she printed it off. Jim told her sorry I didn't have to time to make anything this morning, so I had a buddy of mine drop me off something. I didn't know he was gonna get the party pack of tacos. Melinda laughed about that and her stomach growled at that moment. Jim asked her did she eat at all before coming here. She told him no they were serving something she didn't like at all. Jim told her go ahead and have some tacos, there is no way he is gonna eat 12 by himself. Melinda had eaten three of them and was full. Jim smiled and at her, told her wow that she has a appetite. Melinda told him only when she is hungry and that she loves tacos. Jim told her him too and they both laughed. When her paper was all printed out. Jim wrote her a pass to go back to lunch and told her, that he enjoyed having lunch with her. Melinda told him that she liked having lunch with him too. They both smiled at each other about that. Melinda to go back to lunch and told her friends, what happened. Charlie says," awe does our little Melly have a crush on the teacher." Melinda slapped him and told him shut up, that she did not that he was just being nice is all. Charlie didn't believe it all, not one bit he started to think that something was going on that she was not saying. As the day went on, they went to Mr. Clancy class he did what he always did. Hand them their packets told them what he wanted them to do and what to do for homework. They all did it, and when those that finished early could use the rest of the period as a free one. So Melinda took the advantage to finish up what she couldn't in her study hall. . She had finished it all then, and started her math work. She was finished with that the moment the bell rang. Melinda had handed it to Jim and he told her that she is fast. Melinda smiled at him and told him that she knows that she is. When she packed up and left she went, home to put her stuff away. Beth had asked her where she has been the last few days. Melinda told her at friends house, working on her writing assignment since her laptop was gone. That they were nice enough to let her use theirs. Beth told her okay that she feels like, they haven't had a chance, to finish talking. Melinda told her that she don't want talk about her and her dad anymore. She wants to be left alone with it. Beth said okay that she get it. Melinda shut the door. She read a book to past the time before bed. Jim had corrected some papers before he went to bed. When they went to bed, they automatically dreamed about each other. Which is one thing that neither knew the other was doing. Melinda would be dreaming about being married to Jim and she didn't, know why she was dreaming about him like that. While he was dreaming about her and him together just dating, And he didn't get on why he was either. Jim couldn't help but wonder could his brother be right after all. But once again he shook the feeling away. As did Melinda with what her grandmother had once told her. When morning came it was a weekend, Melinda was bored and didn't know what to do right at the moment. Jim had plans to play poker with his friends that night. Once they got home. from being paramedic's and firefighters. As the day went on Melinda hanged out with Andrea and Delia. Mandy had asked them if they would go to her birthday/sleepover the next month. Melinda told her that she would go, so did Delia and Andrea. They still didn't know that on occasion that Mandy was, having sex with their vice principal. Melinda had wished that she could see Jim, but she didn't know why she wanted to see him so badly lately. Since Faith birthday was coming up, he thought he would shop around, for gifts for her. When he bumped into Melinda, Delia and Andrea. They all said hi to him, He said hi back to them. They all chatted for a while before going different ways. Melinda had told Delia and Andrea that she will meet them at Bath and Body Works she had to use the bathroom. They told her okay, she went the direction of the bathrooms, ran into Jim again. Making him smile and tells her that he, was thinking about her, she admitted that she was thinking about him as well. They both chuckled and told they other that they didn't think they were thinking about each other. They were both shocked that they were thinking about the other. They both just literally admitted to each other that they both felt the same way about each other. Without realizing that they did that. Melinda told him that she will talk to him later, Jim told her yeah and that he will catch her later. Melinda went to go and meet her friends. That night at poker Jim couldn't help but think about Melinda. Freddy had asked if he was okay, Jim told Freddy yeah that he is just thinking. They all said there is a girl that it is obvious. Jim laughed and told them no it is not, to mind their own business. They all surrendered and just played. Jim won three hands and told them, that he had better get home and get to bed. They told him okay. Jim had left to go home, got ready for bed and sat there reading. As did Melinda before bed, they had once again fell asleep dreaming about each other. Melinda dream had changed to a vision, that had woke up her sweating and shaking. Melinda had never gotten those visions before. She had always heard her grandmother talk about, having visions like that. But never once had them herself until now. Melinda had went downstairs to get a drink and wished she had her laptop, so she can do research on what she saw. She wished that she still, had someone that she can turn to about that. But right now she was on her own on that. As the rest of the weekend went by fast, Melinda couldn't wait for school to start so she can see Jim again. She was tempted to just go see him at his house. But she didn't know how that would look, or how he would feel about her going over there at all. Jim couldn't help but think about Melinda. He wondered about how it would feel to just hold her in his arms. While Melinda often wondered the same thing about him. Now the question is how can they be together, since they would have to hide their relationship. Because they are teacher and student. Not that that would mind to Melinda because, she was good at hiding things from people, that is her mediumship. No one knew that that about her at all. But Jim was not use to keeping secrets about anything at all. Especially from his own mother he neve kept anything from her. So now that is the one thing that remains can he do that, If him and Melinda got together. Melinda barely trusted anyone as it was, do to the fact that she had been burned by a few people That she had told her secret too, so now she is very very cautious about who she tells, about that now. So that she doesn't get treated badly or get treated or, looked at like she is some kind of freak. Melinda had hoped that if she ever told Jim about her secret, would she be able to trust him, not tell anyone and not to treat her like a freak at all, or look at her like she is one. Melinda had went to back to bed, for school. When her alarm went off she got dressed for school and went to tell Andrea about what happen. Andrea told her why didn't you call me Melinda. I would of been there for you and you know that. She hugged Melinda. She told Andrea that maybe next time that she will. Andrea smiled and told her good. That she is her best friend, and just because she can't see them or hear them, don't mean that she won't, still help her at all, because she will help her no matter what. Melinda smiled and told Andrea thank you.
