Chapter Nine

It wasn't before long that a month had went past. And it was their one month anniversary, Melinda was a thrilled about it. She felt bad that she still had not told Charlie and Delia about, her and Jim, but they still didn't want anyone to know just yet, at least at school because of the fact, that he was still the teacher. No one was Mr. Bouche either at all, they all were hoping that Mr. Clancy would stay. Melinda didn't really care much if he did or not, because Jim was her boyfriend and she could see him, anytime that she had wanted. Her dad had ordered her a new laptop but it was not in yet. She had another project due in English class, when it came to lunch she had put away what she didn't need, got what she needed and kept what she needed. She went to see Jim, he smiles and asks her what is up, she askes him for a pass to come see him, after she gets down eating lunch. She has another project due for English and her new laptop is not in yet. Jim told her of course that she knows she can use his. He wrote the pass and hands it to her and told her, he will see her later, Melinda smiles and tells him that she will see him later, and whispered babe. That made Jim smile at her, Melinda had gotten her lunch and ate with her friends. Afterward she went to go and start her assignment, Jim had shut the door so that, she can concentrate, he snuck a kiss and Melinda happily returned it. Jim had asked Melinda what she was doing that night. Melinda said nothing but probably see, if her dad would let her use his computer to do her assignment. If not then she might have to go and see him, to get it done that is if he, don't have plans to go be with his friends. Jim told her no that he was planning to spend the night with her. That tonight is their one month anniversary, Melinda had forgotten with school and everything that was going on in her life. Jim had laughed and told her it is was okay he knows that she has school and other things going on. That if she wants to that she can come over to his, she can work on her assignment while he makes them a romantic dinner, what does she say. Melinda told him that she would like that. He smiled and was about to kiss her, when a knock on the door came, Jim went to his desk and told the person to come on in. Delia came in and asked Melinda if she was okay, Melinda told her yeah that she is fine. she is just working on her homework some. That she don't have her laptop yet, that she used his before, making Jim smile and say I don't mind helping any of my students out when they need it. My door is always open. If it is closed just knock. I am usually always in here just correcting papers or, just studying myself. Melinda and Delia said for what. Jim told them the test to be a paramedic/fire fighter, that he has been thinking about it for quite some time now. He is just preparing for it when his time here is up. But don't worry I am here for as long as they need me to be. They both smiled and Delia asked are you two.. a couple. They both looked shocked and asked Delia if she can keep a secret even from Charlie. Delia told them that she could. They told her yes they are, and have been for a month now, they just don't want everyone in school, to know just yet anyway. Delia told them that she won't say anything to anyone. And asked if anyone else knows. Melinda told her that her does, and so does Andrea. That she is sorry she didn't tell her, but she just didn't want Charlie to know right now, because he like being loud about things, And right now they don't want anyone to know about them being a couple. Delia told them that they have her word that she won't say anything to anyone. Melinda hugged her and then she left, so that Melinda could do her work. Jim had told her that she better save her stuff, because it is almost time for the bell to ring. Melinda saved her work and just as she, was shutting down the laptop the bell rang. Jim told her to go head and head to class, I will put the laptop away honey. Melinda headed to class, Jim put the laptop away just like he said he would. Melinda was liking this with Jim. He lets her use his stuff, anytime that she needs to. Kyle was never liked that at all, he never let Melinda use anything of his. He believed whatever was his was his, whatever is hers is hers. And she never liked that at all. She believed that couples should share, certain things objects, a house, responsibilities of the lights, the food and all things like that. Money should be a option if they want to share that or not. Melinda had always hoped for a relationship like that. She promised herself that if she ever did find the one that she will, always be there for him as much as he is for her, that will hold her after one of her nightmares, from a ghost that she meets. Jim was at home and once again he had felt his brother. He wished that he knew someone that could tell him if Dan was there or not. Little did he know that he did, know someone that could tell him that, and it was Melinda that could do that. But right now at the moment he didn't know that she could. There were times that she felt someone there, whenever she was at Jim's place, but she never said anything at all. Because was not sure how Jim would feel about that. She knew soon or later she would have to tell him before, they got to to serious with each other. Melinda was getting ready to go, and have supper with Jim and celebrate their anniversary together. But she didn't know what to wear at all. She finally deiced that she was gonna wear a red dress. Jim was wearing blue jeans and a red shirt. He was hoping that she will be there soon. Melinda had shown up a hour later and Jim smiles about it. Hiding in the shadows was Dan he knew what Melinda was, because of what Mary Ann told him. Now he just had to keep his word to his brother about how he was gonna try and do. Melinda was surprised about how he set things up. Melinda felt like they were being watched, she did her work to throw Jim off, when she seen a spirit and whispered who are you, trying not let Jim hear her at all. The spirit says he knows who I am. I knew it some how he was gonna get with, a medium someday I just knew it. Melinda didn't know what he meant by that at all. Melinda asked what he meant that Jim knew him, who was he. Dan didn't say anything and left, leaving Melinda stumped on what he meant by he knows who he is. Melinda did her paper and it didn't have, to be that long of a one like, the other one was. Melinda had asked Jim if he could print this off for her. Jim told her to save it and then he will print it off, in the home office in a bit. Jim had set supper in front of her, and poured the sparkling cider for them. Melinda smiled and ate, she told Jim that the food was amazing as the last few times. Jim told her thank you. Melinda asked Jim if he believed in ghost, she was gonna for it. Jim asked you mean like the ones in movies and tv shows, she told him yeah like that. He told her yeah he does, and funny she should bring that up. Melinda asked him why is it funny that I brought that up. Jim tells her that ever since they met strange things have been happening to him. Melinda ask strange how. Jim tells like things flying around, knocking down mysteriously, like he is being watched and things like that. Melinda swallowed hard, and Jim asked her what was wrong. Melinda had asked him what makes, that funny with what she brought up. Jim tells her that he finds it funny that she mentioned something like that. Melinda told him that she is serious about this. Jim told her that he believes in it. His brother once told him some stuff he was gonna do if, he ever found the one is all. Melinda looks at him what do you mean by that. Jim told her that he once said that he would do stuff, like moving things around, or knocking stuff down, or even talk to me through a ghost whisper he called it. Causing Melinda to swallow hard again. Jim asked her what is wrong, that is the second time that she did that. Melinda told him okay, you have to promise me, not freak out when I tell you this okay. Jim looks at her and tells her okay. Melinda takes a breath and tells him your brother was right about one thing, you did meet one. Jim was looking at her like he had, no idea what she was talking about. Melinda had told him that, she was a medium and could talk to, earth bound spirits they are called. Jim was shocked to hear about that. Melinda was worried since he was not saying anything at all. She asked him to say something to her. Jim told that he is just shocked is all. Melinda asked him well what do you think of what I told you. He told her he don't know what to say, about that at all he is in shock. He always thought there were some out there. But he never thought he would meet one at all. Melinda told him that she is one, she can help him with Dan if he wants her to. Jim asked if she is pulling his leg or for real. Melinda told him that she is for real, she would never joke about her gift, as her grandmother use to call it. Sometimes to her it feels more like curse, but other than that I think of as a gift. Jim asks her is anyone here right now. Melinda says no not right now, but earlier yes there was someone here, they said that you know who they are, and why they are here.  Jim laughed and tells her that it sounds like his brother Dan, that is something he'd say. Jim smiles at her and Melinda tells him, well it sounds like you two had a bond if he is still looking after you, even though he is not around anymore. Jim told her yeah I guess so. Jim pushed a hair out of Melinda's face and kissed her. Melinda returned the kiss and told Jim she loves him. Jim told her that he loves her too. Jim told her Mel I believe you I swear to you, that I will never betray you, by telling anyone or laughing at you. That made Melinda smile. She had always hoped that she would find someone that would understand her like this. Now she has in Jim just liked she had hoped. Melinda told him that it is getting late that she better get home before her father gets worried about her. Jim walked her to the door, he gently pinned her to the wall and kissed her deeply and passionately. Melinda returned the kiss and left them both breathless. They both smiled at each other after catching their breathes. They said their I love you's before Melinda left to go home. When she got home, her dad told her that he is hoping that, she will be okay if he started dating again too. But he promises that if his girlfriend makes her feel uncomfortable that he would end it with her. Melinda hugged her father. That was one thing that she loved about her father. That he always wanted to make sure that she was comfortable with certain things. Melinda had texted Jim to let him know that she made it home safe. Jim told her good that he is glad that she did make it home safe, he will see her tomorrow. They both went to bed for school the next morning. While Jim was getting ready his mom called him and asked him what he was doing next weekend, Jim told her don't know yet and asked her why. Faith told him that she was planning to come and see him in New York. Jim told her that it sounded good to him. Melinda came down to breakfast and smiled at her dad. He told her about his girlfriend some. Which was one thing that her mom Beth never did about her boyfriend. Tom let Melinda know his girlfriend name was Amelia, and told her everything about her that he knew. Melinda tells him that she sounds nice. That she can't wait to meet her. But she has to go school. They hugged and Melinda and left to go to school. When she got there and was at her locker. Jim came over to her and handed her a notebook. When she had opened there was a note inside saying. Dear Melinda, this maybe the safest way to write notes back and forth to each other, so no one knows that we are writing notes to each other. Your everything to me and I am so glad that I found you, I want to spend my life with you, I am hoping that you feel the same way. Mel your so beautiful and I want you to know that I love you with all my heart and soul. I honestly believe that you are my soulmate. I love you so much. Love always and forever your man Jim. Melinda wiped away tears from her eyes. She writes back in it. Dear Jim I do feel the same that you do, I want to spend my life with you, I love you with all my heart and soul too. I believe that you are my soulmate too. You didn't call me crazy when I told you my secret, you didn't run away from me. That is the most important thing to me besides you and our relationship. You are there for me and I love that. You never have to worry about anything I got you like you do me. I love you so much too Jim. I always will, Love always and forever your woman Mel. She closed her locker and went in the room and handed him back the note book. Making him smile he told her hold on. Jim got up and went to the door closed it and pulled the shade down and locked the door. He pulled Melinda to him and kisses her deeply. Melinda returned the kiss, this time it was Melinda that pulled away. Jim asked her what is wrong. Melinda unlocks the door and pulls the shade up. We're in school, if we weren't then I would kiss you like that all day. Jim blushed and so did Melinda she told him that she better go. He told her yeah that she better. Melinda told him that she loved him. Jim told her that he loves her too. After Melinda left to go see her friends, Jim rubbed his face and was talking to himself, so he thought. He tells himself to snap out of it, that she is still young there is no way that she is ready for that right now. He told them person no that he will think about it, chuckled about something and told the person yeah okay I will see you Friday night Bobby. Melinda sat on the couch and waited for Jim. He told her that was his best friend Bobby, he is trying to get Jim to become a paramedic/firefighter. There is a opening at the station and that he is thinking about it, when his time is up at the school. Melinda told him lets not think about that right now. Jim held her hand and told her that they won't. What was up with her earlier, it was like she was unsure about something. Melinda told him we were at school, and making out like that, I was worried someone would of knocked and we would....would be half undressed, then they would figure it out and we'd be in a lot of trouble. Jim told her Mel it is okay I would never do that in school. Melinda says what about here. She kissed him deeply, he returns the kiss and takes off her shirt, while she unbuttoned his shirt. Jim smiled at her when he came up for some air, he asked her if she is sure about this. Melinda told him that she is sure, Jim told her to hold on that he has to get something. He went in his room and got a condom out of his drawer. Came back out and smirks at Melinda. She took off her jeans and so did her. When he got closer to her and kissed her again. Jim felt up Melinda and told her that she is so beautiful. Melinda told him thank you. Jim laid her on the couch. He took off her bra and licked and sucked each of nipples.
