Chapter Fifteen

When graduation came for Melinda, she went and was happy that high school was finally over. She can go to college, and then it wouldn't be long before she can finally own her own business like she always dreamed of doing. She hoped that it wouldn't take her that long to do. Not like high school did. Deep down, she knew that it might take a while to do, but she was determined to do it. It is something that she has always wanted to do. She knew that she had her friends and Jim there to support her no matter what. Jim was there for her for everything. Her ghost thing, help with school. Jim had promised her that. She had done her best in college, with Jim's help. Delia had gone to school for real estate, Charliw for construction and Andrea for a lawyer. Jim had stayed a paramedic. He told Melinda he was thinking of becoming a doctor and what she thought about that. Melinda told Jim that it was up to him. But she would support him if it was something he wanted to do. Jim smiled at her and told her that it was something he wanted to do. He thinks it may help more with the research for her ghost stuff. Melinda had Jim was also planning their wedding now. And neither of them could wait. Jim didn't like the whole having to be away from Melinda for 24 hours though. He loved being with her. Being away for those 24 hours. Was gonna feel like a living hell. They had a simple wedding with just a few witnesses. When it came to their reception Melinda had seen something fall off the table. She went over to the table to see what happened. She met Dan Jim's brother. He told her who he was and that he didn't want to miss his brother's wedding. Melinda told him well have fun. And enjoy what he can. Melinda rejoined Jim on the dance floor. Jim asked who did she see. She told him his brother. Which made Jom smile. After they threw the bouquet and the garter. They left on their honeymoon to, the Bahamas. Melinda couldn't wait to go on her honeymoon. She was hoping that they would have a good time. No interruptions from any ghosts. And maybe they could try again for another baby. That would be a great present she thought. What she didn't know was that that was what Jim was planning for them anyway. But he didn't want to tell her that. He wanted to surprise her with that. When they got on the boat to go to the Bahamas Melinda was excited, she was 18 and married to the most amazing man ever. The reason they didn't want a big wedding is because they didn't trust Eva. Not to try anything. Jim couldn't have been happier than he was right now with Melinda. He was where he wanted to be. So was she. Melinda and Jim sat on the deck in a lounge chair watching the sun go down just cuddling. When it got chilly they went to change for supper and ate. Afterward, they went back to their room and made love without protection. Which had Melinda shocked. When they were done making each other scream. Melinda had asked Jim why he didn't use protection. He told her that they were married now and they didn't have to use any now. Unless she wants to. Melinda told him no that she was enjoying it. Jim told her that he was as well. There were times they did other things. And times they would stay in the room and make love. They knew what could happen. And they didn't care. They were adults now. And that is what mattered. Tom and Amelia were happy that Melinda was gonna be well taken care of. Jim was madly in love with Melinda. As she was with him. When the honeymoon was over they returned to work. They didn't know what was to come soon. Jim had gone to school for his medical degree. Melinda had graduated from school. She opened an antique store called Same As It Never Was. Jim was still a paramedic while he was going to school. Melinda had ended up getting sick during their lunch date. She didn't know why. On the way home from work she stopped at the pharmacy, to get a pregnancy test, and sure enough, she was pregnant again. Melinda made a healthy meal and surprised Jim. He asked her okay what was going on? Melinda told Jim she was pregnant. Jim had spun het around all excited that they were gonna be having a baby. Jim promised her that he would be there to make sure she don't stress out to much. And for her to remember he loves her and don't let anyone tell her differently. Melinda promised him that she wouldn't let anyone do that. They decided to keep the names they had originally decied on. So they had their names picked out already. They both couldn't be more happier.
