Sam's P.O.V
I lay in the bed, blankets still draped over my body, trying to fall asleep after the night I've had. Colby turns over in bed, away from me. I sigh. I sit up, groaning. I pick my phone up, ‘1am, great.’ I slowly get out of bed. I make my way to the closet, pulling on an old 3am hoodie, with some gray sweatpants. I make my way out of the room, closing the door behind me. Halfway down the stairs, my phone vibrates in my pocket. I pull it out and answer it.
On the phone
Mack-”Bubba, I need you to come save me.” My twin sister tells me, her voice low.
Sam-”Okay? Where are you?” I ask, quickly heading back to the room. I rush to the closet.
Mack-”I’ll send my location, I can’t talk long or they will hurt me.” She begins to panic. My phone dings, *Mack shared location*
Sam-”Okay I’m going to hurry.” I reassure her, as I put on some black jeans and a black long sleeve. “Can you stay on the phone?” I ask.
Mack-”No. I need to go and hide.” She answers, then hangs up.
Off the phone
‘Fuck’ I grab my black leather boots, placing my pistol on my side in its holder. My dagger on my left leg. I hurry out to my truck, cranking it, I pull out of the drive. My heart racing as I head to my sister’s location. After a few minutes I pulled in at a warehouse. I shut my truck off and quietly close the door. I put on some black gloves. I enter the building with my pistol drawn and flashlight on. I search for any sign of movement. Nothing. I move up some stairs, listening very intently. I search the second floor. I spot movement.
“Come out. Hands up.” I demand. The figure is about 5 yards away from me. The person steps into my light, hands up. I move closer. “Where is she?” I demand. The man gave no response. I pull the trigger. The man dropped to his knees, holding his heart. The sound of my gunshot still echoes around. I move to the third floor.
“If you come any closer, she’ll die.” A female voice tells me. My light lands on a female holding my sister at knife point. I freeze.
“Who the hell are you?” I ask.
“Don’t you remember me?” The female laughs amused. “We all graduated together. I was the ‘weird one’. The one who wanted Colby.” It hits me.
“Natalie.” I tense up. “What does this have to do with my twin?”
“Good, Sam. You know me.” She chuckles. “I knew she was around, I knew you'd come for her. A perfect chance to get you alone.”
“Why me?” I’m confused. I put her head in the perfect position of my gunpoint.
“Because I want you dead. I want him to myself.” She presses the knife harder against Mack’s throat.
“S-sam.” Mack whispers. Natalie gut punches my sister. Mack groans in pain.
“Now we have bad blood.” I pull the trigger. She dodges. ‘How the hell.’ She drops my sister. And sprints after me. ‘Fuck’
She gets closer, I throw my gun to Mack and pull out my dagger. I hear my gun being cocked. I dodge Natalie’s knife. I stab her leg, causing her to lose balance. She stumbles, her knife penetrating my arm. I ignore it.
“Oh come on Sam. Give up.” She waves her knife near my face. I step back.
“I hate to kill you. But it seems I will have to.” I shove my dagger into her chest. I knock her knife away from her. She makes a movement, only dropping her head. I pull out the dagger, she drops face down in front of me. Blood spilling out. Mack hurries to me, the light allowing us to see the body.
