WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8TH — 2008

CHRISTMAS PASSED, AND new years as well, and Logan spent all of it with Clara's family.

The surprise party they had thrown for Clara had been a success—even Jerry and his family had come.

He liked the little unit that they had created, and liked watching their dynamics with each other.

It made him think about his X-Men, and the school. That...Maybe...Maybe it was time to go back, soon. It had been six months now since he'd last been there. It had been a few months now since he'd seen Marie and Bobby, too.

It was the second week of January, now, and frost was covering the streets and sidewalks. Clara had decided to forego working on cars for now, so the frost didn't mess with them either. She had Logan working with her on technology, helping her take apart TVs and computers, then putting them back together for her to fix.

"What do you think we should do for lunch today?" Logan asked, looking up from the computer he was currently disassembling for her.

"I'll be honest...I'm feeling very lazy today. Let's just go to Jerry's, yeah?" Clara replied, looking up at him with her silver eyes. He was starting find her silver eyes very...Hot, if he was honest. There was something so unnatural and eerie about them, but when she looked at him with those silver eyes...It made him feel hot all over. It did things to him.

"Yeah, let's go to Jerry's," Logan replied, smiling at her. They had decided to take things slow, when it came to dating. They hadn't had sex yet, but they were kissing all the time. Cuddling in bed and on the couch with each other. Holding hands practically everywhere they went.

Another hour went by, and then they finally decided to stop for lunch. Clara led him out of the shop, locking the front door twice, and they walked across the street together in a comfortable silence.

Something in the air suddenly felt weird, to Logan. He frowned, the metal on his bones aching. Clara stopped before the doorway of the bar, and turned to him. "Are you okay?" She asked.

"I..." Logan trailed off, and took a step forward, before he stopped completely. He saw one man sitting at the bar, an old man. His blood chilled when he saw the metal fork levitating next to the man. "I can't move."

Clara stepped into the bar, and saw the old man Logan was stuck staring at. Before she could say anything, the old man said, "It's slowly coming back to me, Logan. Can you believe it?"

The old man then slumped over the bar slightly, releasing a deep breath. The fork clattered to the counter, and Logan stumbled, and said, "Clara, don't go near—"

She ignored Logan, and slowly walked up to the old man. "What the hell power do you have?" She asked to his back.

Erik Lehnsherr finally turned around, looking at Clara. "I can control metal, my dear. Which means your Wolverine, here, hates me."

Your Wolverine. The sound of it made her warm all over. He squinted at her, and said, "You have...A computer in your head. Or something of the sort."

She tilted her head in confusion, and quietly asked, "How did you know...?"

"I can feel the metals of it...Part of your brain has transformed into a computer. How...Interesting. Sit with me. Clara, right?" Erik replied, and gestured to the stool next to him, her usual spot. "My name is Erik."

Clara watched his suspiciously as she sat down, and Logan came up to the bar finally, sitting on the other side of her, in his usual seat. Erik looked down at the counter, and mused, "How cute. I suppose you two must have left these markings?"
