When Clara woke, she felt someone examining the bandages on her arm.

Looking down, she saw familiar hands, leading up to a familiar smile.

"Logan," She whispered, reaching up to rub her eyes. "Where am I?"

"The infirmary," Logan replied, sitting on the table beside her. "Bobby was here earlier, too. But since he was cleared, he was taken up to his room."

"Is he okay?" Clara rushed to sit up, and Logan put his hands on her shoulder, slowing her down.

"He's okay, I promise," Logan replied. "Your blood saved him. If you hadn't been there...We would have lost him. We could have lost you both."

Taking a deep breath, Clara asked, "Am I cleared to go check on him?"

"Of course you are. We just kept you here to make sure you healed completely while you slept, which you did." Logan responded, helping her off the table. "Want me to grab you some clothes?"

Clara nodded, shivering in the coldness of the infirmary. Because they'd had to bandage her up, they had to take her out of her new uniform, meaning she was just in her bra and underwear. He guided her out to the hallway, wrapping his arm around her, rubbing to keep the goosebumps at bay.

He lead her into a room, where there were all sorts of other uniforms. As Logan went up to a wall, pressing a button to open a compartment, Clara explored. In the middle part of the back wall were two uniforms, one on a headless mannequin, and another with a head, in a glass case.

Cyclops and Marvel Girl, small plaques above the glass read. Cyclops' was wearing his goggles.

Logan came up behind her, holding a pair of sweatpants, a hoodie, and socks. "I see you found their old uniforms."

Clara turned, taking the clothes from him. "I did," She replied, "was Jean's X-Men name really Marvel Girl?"

"In the really early days, it was," He replied, nodding. As he talked, Clara slowly put the clothes on. "Eventually, she started just going by Jean Grey again. Scott kept the Cyclops nickname."

"Is Storm's name Storm, or is that just her X-Men name?" Clara asked, zipping the hoodie up.

"Her name's Ororo, actually," He said. "She doesn't mind if we call her either, though. I've just gotten into the habit of calling her Storm."

Clara nodded, then held out her hand, needing to be closer to him. He took her hand in his, and then pulled her into him, wrapping his arms around her. He leaned down, kissing her head, and said, "I almost lost you."

"I'm sorry for scaring you," She replied, wrapping her arms around him. "I...That sentinel pulled him, and all I could see was Jamie. He's someone's Jamie. I couldn't let him die. At least, not alone."

Logan pulled away, looking down at her. "You don't need to justify it to me, don't worry," He said reassuringly. "I understand. And I am glad you went in there with him. He was your teammate, and you were looking out for him."

Clara felt better that he wasn't upset with her, just with how the situation had begun to play out. "Can I see him?" She asked. "I need to see with my own eyes that he's okay."

"Of course," Logan replied, pulling her close one more time, closing his eyes. "I'll take you right to him."

They held hands through the mansion, Logan deciding to throw his anxiety about it out the window. He'd almost lost Clara, he didn't want to let her out of his sight.
