Based on The Flash (CW) and Ayanokoji saying he's only good at running after his race with Manabu at the sports festival.

Speedster Ayanokoji based on the above line/title.

I also really like the particle accelerator exploding and releasing dark matter being the source for superpowers.

If Ayanokoji got the powers before going to ANHS

1) The WR wasn't shut down for a year. During a trip to America to meet some investors who help fund both the WR and the Particle Accelerator, they were in Central City for the latter to be turned on.

When the Accelerator explodes, Ayanokoji is either also struck by lightning, is handling something electronic that short circuits and zaps him or is demonstrating his pain tolerance via taser or something similar. He's flown back home (His mansion) while in a coma for a few weeks. He's on "vacation" from the WR until they're sure he won't suffer permanent damage from the incident plus the 4th Generations intensity. During this time away from the WR, he learns of his speed and begins learning to control it so he can sneak out and explore faraway places before returning. He then is enrolled in ANHS. He sneaks out daily to explore and eat food since his points can't cover the meals he needs.

2) The Accelerator exploded years earlier. Around the time Ayanokoji was the last person in his Generation. Also thinking of a weird scenario where Star labs had several branch labs in other countries with their own Accelerators being made. But it exploded because of attempting to do simultaneous synced activations. (I don't know how that would work. Just want to spread out the meta human dark matter wave to more than just 1 city.) The one in Japan was in Tokyo. Ayanokoji was somewhere in the city at the time for reasons. It explodes and he's zapped with dark matter in some way that makes him a speedster. The WR studies the limits of his speed over the years and manages to make several sets of basic running clothes that is friction resistant. (Couldn't keep accidentally flashing the t-rex at female instructors every time his clothes burned off from his speed.)

Fast forward to Ayanokoji being out of the WR (Escaped) and enrolling in ANHS. A former school for Japan's future elite that was turned into a school for children with a high dark matter count that either have already manifested a power or show potential to so they can learn to not abuse the power or harm themselves or others accidentally.

For students, the school has made it a point for students to have identifiable marks/emblems on their uniform (Like Irregular at Magic Highschool or Misfit of Demon King Academy) that is split in 3 based on their ability status. Those who have yet to manifest their abilities, those that have their ability and those who've mastered their ability.

Ayanokoji thinks he enrolled as someone who hasn't manifested his power yet and is debating on when he'll manifest "above average speed". Too bad the school has a way to determine those who have manifested (Not what ability but who has an ability already awakened.) and someone (Chairman) with knowledge of what his abilities are.

When the students arrive at the school, they are given a brochure about the basic school rules with a note that their homeroom teachers will go in more depth about them. One of the things mentioned is what the emblem on their uniform means. This reveals to Ayanokoji that the school knows he lied about not yet being a manifested meta and about his abilities since he has the emblem for those who've mastered their powers. This causes him to throw away his plans of being "normal" and just use the basic skill set of a speedster. (They can do way too much.) Such as running really fast, (Duh) vibrating molecules through matter, fast reflexes and speed reading/processing, accelerated healing and defying gravity.

Scenario for #2) The first years all have the same class for their first gym/ability class. The rest will be split among the classes. The students with abilities have tailored gym clothes that make them resistant to their abilities. Fireproof for those with fire abilities (Kushida? Make her the opposite of Ice Queen Horikita and give a secondary reason why they don't get along.), friction proof for Ayanokoji despite most of the clothes he brought to ANHS already being so, or very stretchy for those that change shape/size or other things. The normal students get normal gym clothes until they need special ones after gaining an ability.

Here the Chairman explains how each class will get their own gym with special equipment tailored for their abilities to help train and learn. He also has several special equipment to help review their abilities. He has a student (Ayanokoji) demonstrate his speed on the infinite treadmill to show that the equipment can hold up to the student's abilities. He also explains that he understands that several of their abilities might let them experience the world in a different way than others which can make other people giving them advice be tough. So, with some technology mixed with someone's ability to share/link senses, they have a device that will record what the wearer sees and hears and allows it to be played on a monitor so others can see the world through their eyes and ears. He again has Ayanokoji demonstrate by running around the campus a few times wearing the device. Less than 30 seconds later he's back and the Chairman is plugging the device in the monitor. The students are intrigued at how Ayanokoji seems to be running g around with everything moving so slow that time seems stopped. They watch as he runs multiple laps around d the entire land of ANHS, runs up the side of buildings like flat ground a d then vibrates through the walls of the gym before handing the Chairman the device.

The reason the Chairman is singling out Ayanokoji in this scenario.

The Chairman wants to let Ayanokoji enjoy his time in school, but the emergence of meta humans has caused him to make sure students are giving it their all, so they know their limits and what they can do. He knows about Ayanokoji's speed and that he's mastered it, but not the specifics so he's forced to put him on the spot and learn as much as he can.

If the Accelerator exploded during ANHS

3) School trip to Central City for the Accelerator or the branch in other countries again and them visiting the Tokyo one when it explodes.
