MEERA'S POV :-

Same night :-

We arrived at Chauhan's mansion, and true to his gentlemanly nature, Veer opened the car door for me.

As I stepped out, our eyes briefly met, but I quickly looked away, unable to hold his gaze due to the intensity of emotions in his dark brown eyes, which seemed to convey concern, care, and possibly something more. Lost in thought, I didn't notice Bhai approaching us until he was right beside us.

My knowledge of Veer is limited to his exceptional gentlemanly qualities and the fact that he will soon be my husband, with whom I will spend the rest of my life, leading me to wonder if I am worthy of him, and whether he is too good for me.

My thoughts was interrupted by the realization that I was surrounded by bhai and Veer, who were engaged in a an argument over something.

" Arey rehne do tum toh ! Janta ni jese ki tumhe Mai " , I looked at bhai who just mocked Veer for I don't know what?

( Leave. Hnn , don't behave like I don't know you !)

" Han to fir ye bhi Jan lo ki tumari tarah , kabab me haddi ni Banta Mai ! " , Veer says in the same tone as bhaiii

( Yeah then know that , I don't like to be the unwanted oone between the two ? )

" Veg kabab me haddi ni hoti . " , bhai's comment has me struggling to stifle a laugh, as I observe these two 29-year-old men, notorious for their stern demeanor, behaving like children in front of me, completely contradicting their usual gruff image.

(There's no bone in veg kebab)

" Your humour is so dead Aadvik ! " , Veer rolled his eyes at him

" Atleast I got some good conversation skills and tumme to wo bhi nai hai . Pata ni meri behan tum jese good for nothing grumpy CEO ke sath kese rahegi ? , " , Bhai rolled his eyes at him

( You don't even have that . God knows How'll my sister is going to cope up with a grumpy CEO like you )

" khush rahegyi , Balqi bhut khush rahengyi muj jese good for nothing insaan ke sath ! " , As soon as I heard Veer's voice, my head instinctively turned towards him, and I met with his gaze filled with deep affection, as if he had been waiting for me to notice him.

Hearing him speak filled me with an unfamiliar feeling , and for the first time, I found myself unable to avert my gaze.

His presence evoked a novel sensation, one I'd never experienced before. The way he gazed at me, the gentle way he addressed me, and the comfort he offered all captivated me.

It seemed unfair that he had to be so endearing . His intense eyes left me confused, unsure whether to look away or to never look away .

I was so engrossed in studying his eyes that I didn't notice bhai's  presence until he cleared his throat, which made me feel embarrassed.

I looked around awkwardly and quickly bid them goodnight, escaping the situation.

Just as I was about to enter my room, I saw Isha and Chachi approaching me, and I thought,  " Not again."
