VEER'S POV :-

" She said You just pity me ." ,She finally voiced her thoughts, as a tear escaped her eye.

"Is that true, Veer?" , she asked, her eyes brimming with tears.

" No, why do you even think that tulip ? I feel fortunate to have you as my wife, Tulip." , Veer comfortingly stroked Meera's cheeks, countering.

"She said you only feel sorry for me. " ,Meera pulled back slightly, her voice trembling as she repeated the accusation prompting Veer to clench his fists in restrained anger.

" That's not true. I'm not that cruel that I'll just marry you in pity ,Tulip . I do wants you as my wife . You're the best Tulip , And I'm grateful of yours you decided to give ke a chance . " Veer smiled, his tone soft and warm. Meera could feel his sincerity towards her as his words somehow provided comfort to her .

" She said you can never accept me as your wife . And i- I don't deserve someone like you neither you deserve someone like me. You -you deserve much more better than me . " , she whispers

" You really have to stop believing in whatever nonsense that girl says. What do you think? Why would I marry you if I didn't wanted to accept you as my wife ? " , Veer kissed her forehead, his breath warm against his skin.

" I don't know! " , she said looking down as tears were continually Falling from her eyes

" It's okay to be confused, Tulip ." Veer caressed her cheeks gently.

" The truth is, I'm feeling like the luckiest man on this earth as you agreed to marry me . "

" I love everything about you. You're so sweet, caring, affectionate and loving. You're so cute and beautiful, even the most beautiful ,even princess or angels are jealous of you, because you're so beautiful. You're so, so beautiful Tulip ." He gently said , wiping off her tears and pressed a kiss against her temple making Meera eyes go wide listening to him .

Her heart felt some peace , Her body relaxes in his embrace . His words worked as a band-aid onto her broken heart .

" Tulip you should take some rest now . I'll ask someone to bring you something to eat . And Yes don't stress this little brain of yours . " , Veer said and make her sit on bed as he kneeled in front of her while holding her hands in his .

" I promise to stand by you always, my love. You are my everything, and I will never tire of expressing my love for you. I love you, Tulip, yes i do with all my heart. Although it may seem premature to say this, but I assure you that my feelings are genuine. I will love you now and forever. "

( Aggghh, I'm screaming hehe *wink* )

Veer's unexpected confession left Meera stunned, as she had not anticipated him expressing his love for her. Her past experiences made it difficult for her to accept his feelings.

" Tulip , take all the time you need, but don't think that my words are insignificant, because I've laid my heart bare before you. I truly love you and I'm not expecting you to reciprocate my feelings. Please don't overthink this and rest now. I'll see you at the sangeet, Soon to be wife. "
