VEER'S POV :-

Today, the day I've been waiting for since I first saw her has finally arrived. Every time she's near, my heart beats faster in a way that's hard to explain.

Although I hadn't planned to confess my feelings, I found myself revealing them to her yesterday.

I'm aware it might be tough for her to accept, but I can't help how I feel. I love her with all my heart, and I'm willing to give her all the time she needs. She should know that she's the one for me.

Finally I get ready as her groom as Veer Meera Singh Shekhawat.

Just a few more minutes, god I need to slow down my racing heartbeat.

She had become my ultimate fixation, the embodiment of my passion and the one I yearned to possess, desiring to shield her from harm and keep her in the closest proximity to my heart, with the sole aspiration that her universe revolve around me, and I alone.

In my twenty-nine years, I had never been drawn to any woman, but the moment I laid eyes on her, I surrendered my heart instantly.

It's astonishing that for years, I hadn't dared to look at her, given her status as my best friend's sister, yet I found myself irreversibly smitten with her from the moment she stepped into my line of sight, emerging before my car.

Fate brought us together in a surprising way, at a time when I professed to dislike the idea of a partner and marriage. Yet, who could have predicted that Veer Singh Shekhawat, someone who historically disdained the presence of women, would go to great lengths to marry her as quickly as possible?

I vividly recall how I persuaded our family guru to expedite the marriage arrangements, a task that was challenging but not insurmountable for someone of my determination and capabilities.

These 15 days were incredibly tough, but it's all worth it since I'll be with her forever, making the struggles irrelevant.

I was interrupted by a knock at the door; turning around, I saw my parents approaching with broad smiles. My mom's eyes were welling up with tears, while my dad's face showed a complex mix of feelings. They embraced me warmly, then stepped back after a moment.

" Evil eye's off . " , she said, applying kohl behind my ears.

"My child, our little boy has all grown up" , she said, holding my hand while glancing at dad, who nodded, struggling to contain his emotions.

"It seems like just yesterday you were playing with the younger ones, and now you're ready to be married." , she said, gently cradling my face.

" I know Maa , time flies. " , I replied with a gentle smile .

Dad cleared his throat with a flourish, his voice filled with emotion as he said,

"We couldn't be more  prouder of the man you've become, son. You've exceeded our expectations in every way."  He stepped forward, placing a warm hand on my shoulder, making me feel incredibly fortunate.

I responded with heartfelt gratitude, "Thank you, Dad. Your words mean everything to me."

" Things will change from now on, you're embarking on a new path in life. You need to be understanding and particularly patient with Meera, who is leaving her family for us, so it's our duty to ensure she never feels isolated. If not, I'll hold you accountable. " , Dad said with a serious tone that made Mom and me laugh.
