In the days that followed, the KSK and Reaper drones dispatched to remote regions of Gallia continued to report on both allied and enemy units, including the more secretive squads among them. While the Bundeswehr couldn't really help with the battles between the main Gallian army and the Nameless, they could at least warn them of any intercepting forces with the KSK units. They only went into this huge effort because the group of interest apparently had a woman who had the ability to retreat mythical beings who had become the victors of a supposed war.

It was obvious to the Germans that the phrase "the victor writes history" was just too apt, so the Chancellor and his coalition government, after consulting the opposition about the potential threats and unknown history being rewritten to suit a party's liking, earned the wrath of many party members of both the CDU, SPD, and even the left and right wing, although the latter were more adamant about wanting to look like heroes and not the descendants of their ancestors (NoNo Germans).

In the Valkyria-Terran planet (designated as Valkyria by both the locally assigned German and NATO troops and the UN) with the battles and skirmishes coming to a slow end, the anticipation of a grand battle becomes even more troubling. Especially the Gallian Militia, while expecting a showdown, knows that heavy casualties will force them back into the defensive, with key locations surely be lost again.

Seeing the inevitable huge cascade falling upon the German, American, and other NATO troops, especially the tank battalions, the German government, after consulting with their think tanks, inspectors, generals, and the Minister of Defense, who was in control of the situation as it was contained primarily on one side of the portal, had decided to send one of the younger and more eager senior officers down to the Gallian theater, as the reports of the quickly promoted brigadier easily showed signs of mental and physical fatigue. The Brigadier, they had learned from their spies and informants, was constantly juggling between his desks for paperwork and any nearby battles and skirmishes.

So the new officer, who took charge of the paperwork and coordination with both Germany and NATO, was quickly transported to the other side, along with another group of GSG-9 and KSK troops who escorted her, as she was too valuable to be lost. She was only a lieutenant during the "contact incident," but her involuntary encounter with the alien force in the Eifel region wasn't the only reason she was secretly promoted to such a high rank.

The General of the Gallian Army had informed the NATO forces, through the diplomatic envoy in the Capital, that around a dozen of villages have to be secured for the upcoming operation in the Naggiar desert. Meanwhile, the Militia was tasked with dealing with a bunch of occupied Naval fortifications threatening the Gallian merchant marines. For those operations the German Panzergrenadier battalion would deal with the occupied villages, supported by aerial recon forces (JTAC Operators) with the help of UACV Sentinels.

Concurrently, for the Imperial-held Naval fortifications, the Americans would support the assigned Militia squads. A particular Squad 7 was, after the heavy fighting in Aslone, was rejuvinated with strength, with another light tank, operated by a sole person, had joined them. Unfortunately, this still didn't make the NATO officers and soldiers any happier. After finding out how the Medium Tank was operated on, they wondered how the light tanks functioned.

The quick inspection and questioning didn't yield any promising results. With one or two people in both the light and medium tanks, the sight of the supposed tanks was more and more seen as a stopgap measure that the autocratic and rather greedy businessmen had brainwashed the military into believing that these tanks would be sufficient in any defensive operation. The very fact that the Type 36 "Edelweiss" medium tank had to be built in secret shows how much control the tank designers and owners of the mass production light tank factories had over the development of newer and more efficient tracked vehicles.
