Suburbs of Aslone
Time: XXXX hours
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Near the besieged city of Aslone, the German KFOR brigade were stationed closely to the outer ring, trying to find a more affordable approach to the frontline city, while the Gallian army and militia were fighting off the Imperial force. As diplomatic talks continued, General von Damon ordered his subordinate officers to cooperate and assist the German forces and their allies in defeating the Imperial threat. While there were still tensions between the two sides, they decided to put past issues aside and deal with the main issue at hand. Since the German government was still hesitant, especially with the chaos that had occurred in Fouzen, they ordered their troops to stand down and await any requests for reinforcements from the Gallian army and militia on the front lines to avoid confusion and overreliance.
What no one at Forward HQ knew was that an Imperial Army unit, made up mostly of Darcsen, had cut all communication lines and was threatening to encircle the forward units if nothing was done in time. One of those soon to be encircled was Militia Squad 7, whose tank, the Edelweiss, broke down again due to heavy fighting at the Gun Gate, and the driver, Isara Gunther, had to sneak through Imperial units to reach the suburbs of Aslone. Unfortunately, she was captured by Darcsen forces, but was soon released for unknown reasons.
However, as she continued down the path, she was once again intercepted by Imperial soldiers who were all the more eager to kill her because she was a Darcsen. What they didn't realize was that both Squad 422 "The Nameless" and the KFOR scouts had heard the shots. Realizing that it could be deep-penetrating harassment units of the Imperial Army trying to stop any communication between the Forward Distribution Base in Aslone and the frontline units, the KFOR and the Nameless set out to stop the threat.
As the Imperial guards nearly catch up, gunshots erupt from the other, strking an enemy soldier down, startling the remaining Imperials and forcing them to retreat. Out of the cover appear the Nameless lieutenant Nr.07 Kurt Irving, Nr.13, Riela Marceris and Nr.01 Imca. While they were talking about the situation at the bridgehead, numerous sounds of loud engines were heard, coming from Aslone. Suspecting enemy units flanking them they prepare to their last bullet, only to be surprised at the sight they behold.
"Wait- No! Don't shoot! It's the Otherwordlers!" shouts Isara, startling the trio. "That's one of their main battle tanks, supported by IFVs and specialized infantry trained to neutralize armor and coordinate with other MBTs."
A soldier-no, a commander-jumps from the dome of the forward tank and runs toward Squad 422. "Everybody! Are you all, right? There was gunfire- Oh! Medic!" Seeing the girl with the wound on her leg, the officer suspects a simple MIS-PID, but that wasn't the case. "Did you misidentify the girl as a quick Imperial in your panic, or is there a curfew we weren't informed of?"
"No, that is not the case. The bridgehead in the suburbs seems to be reinforced by long-range artillery. The Gallian army seems to be losing tanks by the dozen and the only medium tank is knocked out. In fact, that is their tank driver of all people. She came all this way to ask for reinforcements, but we are the only squad available in time."
"Sh*t. And I thought I could use my tank in a normal tank fight. All right, we were already ordered to reinforce the front line as soon as the sh*t hits the fan, but all things considered, destroying the artillery would help everyone a lot."
"That's right, and you are?" No. 07 asks the commander, who he now realized is a young woman with brown hair and purple-blue eyes. Next to her appears another girl, slightly shorter, with golden hair, still looking at a map. The commander speaks up and reveals who they are, "My name is Stephanie Winters, First Lieutenant Commander of the 30th Armored Battalion, nicknamed the Panzer knights. Standing next to me is Sandra Meyer, my Second Lieutenant. And who are you? We haven't been fully informed about you, except for your unit number."
