After a powerful Sunday service, the Clark Sisters were ready for nothing more than food, laughter, and a peaceful afternoon. But peace was the last thing coming.
Out of nowhere, Drew Sheard-Detroit's most feared and powerful mafia boss-appeared, cu...
Nobody's POV Karen stepped into the house with her sister and mother following close behind. The moment her family saw the look on her face, they instantly knew something was wrong. Her eyes were wide, filled with fear and exhaustion. Her hands trembled slightly as she tried to keep her composure.
Mama Mattie's voice was gentle but firm, "Karen, baby, what's going on? Tell us."
It took Karen a long time — nearly twenty-five agonizing minutes — to finally open up and reveal everything. The punishment, the control, the terror she'd been living under since Drew had taken her back. Tears welled up in her eyes as she spoke, each word heavy with pain and uncertainty.
Her sisters' faces were a mix of sympathy and helplessness. Twinkie's hands clenched tightly, Jacky's jaw was set, and Dorinda's eyes darted anxiously around the room.
Mama Mattie shook her head softly, voice trembling, "There's nothing we can do... not when Drew wants something, he gets it. Karen... you belong to him now. Only him."
The weight of those words hung heavily in the room, silencing everyone.

Drew's POV It had been a few days since I last saw my baby, and that wasn't going to fly.
I wanted to surprise her tonight, take her out to dinner, show her she still belonged to me.
I headed to the store and asked the saleslady what kind of dress a man should get for his woman when he wants to surprise her.
She pulled out a dress that caught my eye immediately—a beautiful, sleek gown. The fabric was soft, the color rich and deep.
Picture Karen in this dress: flowing and elegant, hugging her figure just right, making her look like she was made for the spotlight.
After I paid, I drove straight to the Clark residence.
Jacky opened the door and the second she saw me, her eyes burned with hatred. Without a word, she slammed the door right in my face.
My first instinct was to fly off the handle.
But I forced myself to calm down.
I opened the door myself, standing firm, dress and shoes in hand.
"Get my baby down here or I'm coming up there myself!" I demanded.
The sisters exchanged worried looks and hurried upstairs.

Doe's POV Me and the rest of the sisters glanced at Mama Mattie with worried eyes.
We didn't want to cause a scene but knew we had to get Karen ready.
We dashed upstairs, our footsteps echoing in the hallway.
When we reached her room, we told Karen Drew was downstairs.
"For what?" she asked, voice barely a whisper.
"To take you out," I said quickly. "He's got your outfit with him. Hurry up or he's coming to get you himself."
Karen nodded slowly, barely audible, "Okay."
⸻
Karen's POV My sisters came to tell me Drew was here.
I hadn't seen or spoken to him since what he did to me.
Fear wrapped around my heart like a vise.
I took my time going downstairs, each step heavy.
When he finally appeared, he bent down and kissed my hand.
His other hand wrapped tightly around my waist.
He whispered in my ear, "You got 25 minutes to put on the clothes I brought you. I've got a surprise for you."
I nodded, voice trembling, "Okay."
I tried to pull away from his hold.
"Let me go," I said softly.
"No," he said firmly. "I'm not done holding you."
For what felt like ten long minutes, he held me, refusing to let go.
When he finally did, I hurried upstairs to freshen up and change.
