Karen's POV
After Doe and I got into it again, I started wondering why my sister just can't leave it alone. I know what Drew did, but I've forgiven him and tried to let it go. I've been listening to Mama Sheard, trying to keep the peace. But Doe? She just won't listen. Damn, sometimes it feels like she's set on making things worse instead of better.

Hours later
I was fast asleep, not worrying about anyone or anything. Then my phone started ringing — and ringing — but I didn't answer. I just wanted to keep sleeping. But the calls kept coming. Drew was getting more and more frustrated that I wasn't picking up, so he kept calling again and again. Still, I stayed quiet.

Drew's POV
I'd been calling Karen for the last ten minutes straight, but no answer. I wasn't about to sit around waiting. I jumped in my car and hauled ass to her house — she thinks she can ignore me and get away with it, but not today.
When I got there, I knocked hard. Doe opened the door, looking annoyed.
"What the hell you doing here?" she snapped.
I didn't waste time. "Listen, I ain't got time to play. Step aside or we do this my way — and trust me, you don't want that. Move."
She hesitated, then nodded and let me in.
As I walked upstairs, I passed Karen's family — didn't even look at them. I had one mission.
I made it to Karen's room and there she was — my baby, dead asleep. I looked around and saw her phone on the nightstand. Dead battery.
Maybe I overthought it, but either way, I was taking her with me.
I gently pulled the covers off her.
"Baby, get up," I said.
She yanked the covers back over her head.
I grabbed them again, firmer this time.
She sat up fast, blinking, and asked, "What are you doing in my room?"
I told her, "You weren't answering your phone. Now get your ass out of this bed and get ready. Or I drag you out myself. Your choice, baby. But either way, you're coming with me."

Nobody's POV
"I don't want to go with you, Drew. I'm tired, and I want to stay home."
Suddenly, Drew's hand was on my throat — not choking, but controlling — and he said low and serious, "Stop playing with me, Karen. Get ready. I'm right here waiting. Hurry up, baby, please."
When he saw the tears in my eyes, he slowly released his grip and headed downstairs, leaving me shaken but knowing I couldn't refuse him.
