After training with Toki and Dad for two weeks, it was now the morning of the school festival. I had to take the train to school because dad had to go in early.

I realize that Zuku lived nearby from the address I saw when Dad was looking at his file. I know everything about my classmates that is in those files. Probably not something I should mention to them.

I walked to his apartment complex and waited outside, considering I don't know his apartment number. Also might not be the best way to meet his mom.

Wait..it's not like I'm going to meet his mom soon..right? I mean we're not together I don't even know if he likes me like that. I don't know if I like him like that" yet...

I was shaken out of my thoughts when I heard my name,

"Mai, what are you doing here?" Zuku asked.

"Dad had to go in early today and I remembered your apartment name and saw it was close by, so I came to see if you wanted to walk to school together."

"T-together!?"

"Not like together together!! But like, together, like side by side..It's okay if you don't want too. It's probably weird anyway, right? I'll just walk ahead.."I was about to walk ahead of him but he grabbed my arm pulling me back.

"I-I would like to walk together, side by side." He said, letting go of my arm and rubbing his neck awkwardly.

I smiled at his cuteness,

"Then, let's go."

I grabbed his hand and held it in mine as we walked to the train station. Why do I get nervous then have a huge confidence boost? I need to get over the nervous part.

We walked to the train station and then got off. All, while still holding his hand.

I guessed he realized we were still holding hands as we walked into the barriers of UA and let go of my hand.

Zuku's POV

I wonder if Mai realizes that she is still holding my hand. I was going to keep on holding her hand, but I saw Todoroki and remembered the day they were talking and laughing. I let go of her hand when we walked into UA's barriers, in case Todoroki saw and got the wrong idea.

Although, I wish her hand was still in mine.

We kept walking until we made it to the locker rooms.

I think I'm starting to have feelings for Mai, but I don't know what to do. I have never felt this way for a girl since..well ever!

But, her and Todoroki make much more sense. They are both strong and their quirks don't break their bodies when they use them.

Mai was also telling me, on the train, that her and Todoroki were training at his house, for two weeks. Two weeks! That has to mean something, right?

"Are you okay, Zuku? Your face is red." Mai asked.

"Huh? O-oh yeah I'm okay. Just nervous, ya know?" That was the best excuse I could come up with. What was I supposed to say? "oh, my face is red with jealousy not nerves."
