My other classmates were sitting in their chairs but I was standing by the railing.

"W-why do you sit down, Mai?"

"I can't. I need to be ready in case Ochaco gets hurt."

"O-okay. But, I'm sure she'll be fine."

"I know she will. It's just that I don't want her to get hurt badly. She's my first friend that didn't try and use me to get recommendations for UA. I didn't meet her until after we were in UA, right? But still."

"I...guess?"

"Hey, Midoriya? I'm curious. What was that strategy you came up with that would give Uraraka an advantage against Bakugo?" Iida asked.

"Honestly, it wasn't really much of a plan. Kacchan's so strong. When it comes to close combat, he almost never has any openings. And the more he moves the more he sweats, which just makes his quirk more powerful. He's gotten really good at using his explosions to move around in the air. But, if Uraraka is able to touch him, she can use her quirk to make him float."

"She can send him out of bounds! That's such a smart plan, Zuku!" I said, hoping that was O's plan too.

"Let the eight match...Begin!"

Here it goes. Ochaco started to run towards Bakugo.

"Damn she's fast!"

"All she has to do is touch him one time!" Zuku exclaimed.

"But it won't be easy. You know Bakugo's not gonna let her get too close to him."

"Which is why he won't dodge. He'll focus his energy on counter attacking."

But then Bakugo used his quirk and made an explosion right in front of Ochaco.

"Ochaco!"

"Uraraka!" Zuku and Iida yelled at the same time.

Bakugo then used another explosion in the same place. But then Ochaco came up from the side.

"Whoa! She flew her jacket over as a decoy! What an incredible quick thinking!"

Before she could touch him, he noticed her and blasted her again, but she managed to stay inside the bounds.

Bakugo keeps on using his quirk on her but again she comes up from behind him.

"I can't watch this!" I yelled before sitting in my seat and using Zuku's shoulder to cover my head. I felt him freeze and I realized what I was doing. I was about to lift my head up before I felt Zuku unfreeze. He just let me stay there.

I could just hear the explosions and then people started to boo at Bakugo. Saying that he's a bully and to end the match. Even Uncle Mic agreed but dad cut him off.

"Where's the man who started this uproar? Are you a pro?"

I still was not looking up from Zuku's shoulder but dad continued,
