The fight with Stain continued as Zuku, Toki and I were all attacking him. Then, Stain had cut Zuku again. Before he could lick it I pushed him out of the way with fire.

"Zuku! Be careful!"

"You have to run. I can't watch this."

"Iida! I've had enough! You want to make your brother proud?! Then stand up and be Ingenium! Become the hero he wanted you to be!" I yelled as Toki sent more ice to Stain. But he cut it and came towards us. Toki and I used fire to attack Stain, but he dodged most of it.

"Watch your right!" Zuku yelled. I turned right and Stain was coming towards us. I made a wall in front of him but he jumped on it and went back to our left side because Toki sent fire at him.

"Ice and fire." Stain grumbled. "Hasn't anyone ever told you that you rely on your quirk too much? Makes you a careless fighter." He almost had cut off Toki's arm but then,

"Recipro burst!" Stain's quirk had taken its effect off Iida and he managed to run towards the blade that almost cut Toki, kicking it and then kicking Stain out of the way.

"Iida!"

"You're free, too? Guess his quirk isn't as great as I thought it was."

"Todoroki... Midoriya... Mai. This has nothing to do with you. I apologize."

"Not this again." I whispered.

"I'm okay. And I won't let the three of you shed anymore blood for me!"

"It's no use trying to pretend you're a hero now. A person's true nature doesn't change in just a few minutes. You'll never be anything but a fraud who prioritizes his own desires. You're the sickness that's infected society and ruined the name "hero. Someone must teach you a lesson."

"Or maybe, he's always been this way. Protective of the people he cares about. I know dam well that if I had a family almost killed, I would want revenge and make it a good cause. You have killed 17 heroes and injured 24 others! That's a good damn cause to me!"

"I only killed and injured those so-called "heroes" because of the society based around heroes. You're not a hero if all you care about is fame and money."

"It doesn't matter. Murder is still murder in my eyes. And everyone else."

"You're a fundamentalist lunatic. Iida, don't listen to this murder's nonsense."

"No. He's completely correct. I have no right to call myself a hero...at all." Blood had started to drip from his arm.

"Even so. There's no way I can back down. If I give up now, then the name "Ingenium" will die!"

"Pathetic." Stain said before running towards Iida but Toki pushed him back and I threw fire balls at Stain.

"Idiots! The Hero Killer is only after me and that kid in the white armor. Stop fighting back-- just get out of here!"

"I don't think he'd let us run even if I wanted too. Something clearly changed in him just now. He seems rattled." Stain was now jumping from wall to ice back to wall. Toki used his fire but he still missed. I was behind Iida and Toki was in front of him. I was protecting the back in case he ran this way and Toki didn't see.
