I left Recovery Girl's room after Zuku came in. It looked bad, Recovery Girl said he might have to go through a surgery to get fully healed. I couldn't stay for that. He was unconscious when he came in and still was when I left.

Recovery Girl's words kept repeating in my head. Could Zuku like me like I like him? I mean it is possible. When he talks to me he gets red and stutters. But when he talks to others he doesn't get super red like he does with me.

Oh shit, maybe Zuku does like me. Oh well, I'll talk to him after the sports festival. I hope I'm right about this.

I walked to the waiting room to wait for Toki but he was already there.

"Congratulations, Toki! I'm so proud of you!" I said as I ran to hug him.

"Oh, thank you Mai. You're not mad at me for winning?"

"Why would I be mad? One of you was going to win and I would have said the same thing to Zuku."

"I just thought you would be mad. I used my fire."

"I saw. That was so cool! Now we can train without you holding back."

"I was never holding back."

"Sure you weren't. But now you can beat me the same way I beat you. Melting my ice."

"I guess."

"Toki?"

"Yes?"

"Why haven't you let go of me?" We were still hugging but I wasn't complaining, just asking. He was warm. He quickly let go of me.

"Sorry."

"No worries. It seemed like you needed it. Also, why haven't you changed yet?" He was also half shirt-less.

"Oh, right." I laughed at his face.

"Go change, I'll see you later."

"Bye, Mai. And thank you for the hug."

"My pleasure. Now, go!" He walked out the door to the locker room to change into a spare uniform they provided us with. You know, in case something like this happened.

It was now my turn to go up against Shiozaki. I had an idea of what to do. Considering she uses her vines and can detach them it will be tough, but I can do it!

"Begin!"

Her vines quickly came towards me and I used earth to block them, then it hit me. I could use blood bending. It might be hard and I've only done it once but I could try. I learned I could do it when it wasn't a full moon. Took some tries but I did it on a sunny day on Dad. I did some hand movements and then Shiozaki didn't move. I'm doing it!

"It seems Aizawa has gotten control over Shiozaki's body!"

I made her walk out of bounds. As soon as her foot stepped on the line I left her go. Since I've only used blood bending one time it took a lot of my energy.
