The moment those words had left his mouth, he could see the fear forming in people's eyes. Or, in some cases, growing bigger. It truly was a wonderful sight to see. It truly was a shame that Byakuya had to hide his expression, but he had to. It wouldn't be fun if people got suspicious of him, that would ruin his plans.
Eventually, Kyoko broke the delightful silence. "So? What are you going to do now? Just stand around glaring at each other?" She asked in a pointed voice.
That would be preferable.
Kiyotaka nodded, "R-right, she's right! Sometimes, even if you're nervous or afraid, you just have to step forward!" He explained before bowing. "To forget such a simple fact... I can't forgive myself. I'm so ashamed! Please, someone hit me! I can't forgive myself! Somebody hit me! Punish me!"
If Byakuya could, he would. It would be quite entertaining. But, alas, he couldn't do that.
"Jesus. If you have time to yell about it, you have time to do something about it," Mondo spoke in an annoyed tone.
Hifumi nodded before speaking in a scared voice, "Perhaps, but...what is the mission, exactly?"
"Idiot! To look for a way out, duh!"
Oh, that would be such a pointless endeavour. It would be very amusing to watch though. To see them struggle to find a way out... only to find nothing. How despairing that'll be for them. And how amusing that'll be for him.
"And we totally need to find out whoever was controlling that stupid bear and beat the hell out of 'em!" Mukuro lied, her voice laced with fake anger. It wasn't the best acting, but for now it was still good enough.
"B-But before we do all that, maybe we should take a look at the handbook... It's probably best to check out the school regulations Monokuma mentioned before doing anything else," Chihiro hesitantly said, fidgeting with his sleeves.
Such a smart boy as always.
Celeste nodded, "True. If we stumble around with no clue what the rules are, something like that might happen again..."
"Shit..." Mondo muttered.
Tsk. Such foul language. That never changed.
"Fine. Then let's hurry up and check out the stupid rules already."
After that was said, everybody did exactly that. Byakuya opened his e-handbook and pretended to be surprised as he saw the rules.
1. Students may reside only within the school. Leaving campus is an unacceptable use of time and as such is prohibited.
2. 'Nighttime' is from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Some areas are off-limits at night, so please exercise caution and try not to enter those.
3. Sleeping anywhere other than the dormitory will be seen as sleeping in class and punished accordingly.
4. With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore Hope's Peak Academy at your discretion.
5. Violence against headmaster Monokuma is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of surveillance cameras or the monitors in the rooms.
6. Anyone who kills a fellow student and becomes a 'blackened' will graduate, unless they are discovered.
7. Additional school regulations may be added as necessary by the headmaster.
He obviously already knew all of the rules- he helped make them, after all. He didn't know what other rules Junko would add, but he was sure she would tell him. Maybe even let him add a new rule.
