"So, the murderer managed to convince Monokuma to open the storage room," Kyoko mused as she held a hand to her chin. It was clear she didn't know who the murderer was quite yet, which made Byakuya very happy.

He loved seeing the detective stumped like that- so close to reaching the truth yet unable to grasp it. He could only imagine how despairing it must feel, knowing that this felt natural to her but that she couldn't do it. It was made even better by the fact she didn't know her talent.

But Byakuya himself also... wasn't convinced of who the murder was. He had an idea- of course he did- but he just needed something extra to pin it on them. Though, he couldn't do that himself. It had to come naturally.

So, he had to push somebody else to say it, to reveal the killer. He knew exactly how to do that- if he was thinking of the right person- so it wouldn't be too hard. All he had to make sure was that the right things were going to be said. That was something which Byakuya could easily do.

He nodded at Kyoko's words, "Mhm. That seems to be the case. I believe that also proves the motive was involved..." He continued, making a frown appear on his face. "Otherwise, they wouldn't have gone to such lengths... They would have had to been desperate... Like Sayaka," Byakuya continued, glancing at the mentioned girl as he said that last part.

He simply couldn't help himself- he had to make that jab at her. It was simply too good of an opportunity. Especially since she immediately let out a despairful whimper at that, which sounded just like music to his ears.

And what made it even better was the way he had said it- it was said as purely informatic, not as a jab. Nobody would hold this against him, he simply said the truth. So, he was able to make the girl feel despair, which was already good, but there also wouldn't be anybody that would get mad at it because of it, which was even better.

The only reaction he got were some uncomfortable looks- if he were being generous, he would say despairful- at his words. That made the already good situation even better, though obviously he couldn't show it.

He just continued to stand straight with a frown on his face, like he hadn't realized the impact his words had. And since it didn't seem like anybody would saying anything about it, he would never 'know'. It was perfect.

After a bit though, the silence was getting annoying. His jab was just meant to cause some discomfort, nothing more. So, he decided to speak again, still acting like he hadn't noticed the discomfort some people were feeling.

"So, the motive seemed to have succeeded... Unfortunately, I do not believe that brings us any closer to who the murderer could be," Byakuya continued, still with that fake frown on his face. "Anybody here could've gotten that desperate. So, unless somebody here has an alibi..." He trailed off, leaving the perfect path for somebody to continue.

If there were people with alibi's, it would narrow the list of possible suspects down quite a bit. And once that was done, they could go back to talking about the murder weapon. It was important that this was done before that though- it had to go exactly as Byakuya had planned.

"Oh!" Aoi spoke up, a disgusting smile on her face like she had something good to say. "Me and Sakura spent the night together! So, neither of us could have done it!" She explained, irritatingly happy with having both herself and Sakura innocent.

Even though it was useful, it was still utterly disgusting. The way Aoi acted, it was just so hopelessly romantic. And that was something that made Byakuya want to throw up- romance was nothing but futile and useless. He was glad he didn't feel such idiotic things.

Sakura nodded, "Yes. Hina wasn't feeling the best, so I stayed over in her room," The girl explained, her voice both gruff and soothingly calm.

"You s-stayed over...? Doesn't that v-violate one of the school r-regulations?" Toko idiotically asked, her annoying voice grating Byakuya's ears the moment she even dared to utter one word.
