Once again Byakuya was standing in the data centre, waiting for the door in front of him to open. He knew for certain that Junko had already seen him, there was absolutely no way for that not to be the case, but it seemed like she just wanted to let him wait for a bit.
How annoying. Yet it wasn't exactly something unexpected. She just wanted to cause him that annoyance, that tiny bit of despair. Well, it was that or she was preparing something, which Byakuya really hoped wasn't the case.
By now he knew for sure that her surprises were never anything good. Never. So he really hoped that Junko wasn't planning anything- that would ruin this moment. And that would be a shame since he was actually in a good mood for once.
After all, he had just witnessed something absolutely beautiful. Yasuhiro's execution had been absolutely wonderful and even better than Byakuya had expected. He supposed that it would only be fair to compliment Junko for that since she was the one who came up with that.
Though, for that to happen he would need to be let in first. Luckily for him, it seemed like Junko was done with letting him wait since the door in front of him slowly started to open, glimpses of light immediately shining from the other room.
When the door was fully open, Byakuya stepped inside, where- as usual- Junko was sitting on her chair. This time her chair was already turned to him, and there was an unmistakable grin on her face. It looked like she was on cloud nine with just how bright her grin was.
Byakuya had never seen her this happy before, not even after she had killed Mukuro. No. She was even happier this time and that... made Byakuya happy too. He was quite glad that she was enjoying this just as much as he was.
"Kuya~!" She greeted, her voice filled to the brim with excitement. "And? And? What did you think? Wasn't it just oh so wonderful? So full of despair?" She asked while talking so fast that Byakuya simply had no time to answer any of them until she was done talking.
He sat down on the spare chair, which his legs immediately enjoyed. He hadn't noticed how much his legs had been aching from all that standing until now, so he was quite happy that he was able to sit down.
Byakuya nodded, "I did. It was even better than I had expected. You have my compliments, Junko, you truly outdid yourself this time. The despair on everybody's faces..." He trailed off, though it was clear what he meant, especially since now a smirked had formed on his face.
"I know! It was just so amazing to see Makoto's smile be just gone for once! I could almost smell he was feeling, especially when the truth about Sayaka came to light. Oh, how I wished that would've lasted longer," Junko said with an almost dreamy sigh, grinning just as hard as before.
"I'm sure I could make sure you'll get to see something like that again. After all, there's much left to discuss about Sayaka's betrayal," Byakuya said, a smirk forming onto his face as he spoke. "That'll surely leave Makoto far from happy."
"That would be awesome! The more despair he feels, the better. His hopefulness is disgusting," Junko said as her grin turned into something more akin to a frown as she spoke about Makoto.
Byakuya hummed, "You can say that. Even now, he is still so friendly..." He said, a frown forming onto his own face as well. "I'll have to make sure that gets changed. Otherwise he truly might begin to pose a problem... The same goes for Kyoko."
"Oh, yeah! She might've been quiet, but it was so obvious that she knew. And we can't have that! It removes all of the fun," Junko complained, letting out a sigh.
"It can be dangerous too... Even now, she has already proven herself to be more than capable... and that's without her memories..." The heir said, almost mumbling that last part. It was something that had happened subconsciously, he hadn't meant to lower his voice.
