Junko was enjoying herself- of course she was. Things were going so well and she could just taste the despair on everybody's faces, even from here. Maybe there was a bit less despair than what she would've liked, but she had a feeling that was going to change soon- her sweet little co-mastermind would make sure of that.

Oh, Kuya~

She liked him, she really did. He was just so different from anybody else who Junko had met, he was like her. Sure, he liked despair not nearly as much as she did, but he still had that sadistic side to her, something that almost... interested Junko.

It wasn't like the sadistic side in serial killers, it was different. It was more subtle, more mental. It was more like Junko herself and how could she not like that? Yet despite that like she had for him, she treated him differently from anybody else she liked.

Because Junko did not want to kill him. While she was sure that would give her despair like no other- even more than Mukuro's death had given her- she did just... not want to. And she had thought about it quite a bit, about all of the different ways she could kill him.

She could stab him and watch while he bled out, a look of pure betrayal flashing on his face before taking his last breath. Or she could sneak up behind him and whack him with a bat, making sure that she didn't kill him with the first whack so he could see that it was her before killing him. Junko could also give him poison, acting like it was just a nice drink as she watched the life drain from his bodies.

Normally, just the thought of these were enough to get her salivating, yet she... wasn't. She absolutely adored the ideas, just not the person they were used on in these fantasies of hers. She didn't want to kill Byakuya herself... nor did she want anybody else to do that.

While she knew that the heir was more than capable, Junko... kept an extra eye on him, especially during the evening. She would make him talk to her- either here or using Monokuma- not only because she just wanted to talk to him, but it was a way of ensuring he was... safe.

Junko just did not want him to die. At all. He was so much like her and just too interesting. If he died, she would get bored again. Even the killing game wouldn't be able to satisfy her- it just wouldn't be fun enough without him!

So, she didn't want him to die- that would just make everything much more boring and the despair it would give her would simply not make up for it. But there was another way he was different too.

Junko didn't want to see despair on that oh so adorable face of his. She didn't want his blue eyes to darken, and not because he was thinking of something wicked, but because the only thing he was feeling was despair. That very other emotion was being drained from him, leaving just a despairing husk behind.

She didn't like the idea of that. It just... didn't sound appealing. It was why she hadn't tried to destroy the Togami Corporation, to get each and every member of the Togami family- even the disgraced ones- killed, leaving Byakuya as the sole Togami and heir of nothing.

Despair like that just... wouldn't look good on him. It was better when he had that adorable smirk on his face and that horrible gleam in his eyes as he told her about all of the awful things he had been doing. That was a look that Junko liked.

But that didn't mean she would never make him feel despair- that would also just be way too boring! She would just do small things to make him feel a bit of despair, to make him annoyed. She had thought about doing more, like actually kidnapping his father, but that just didn't sound fun enough. It was more entertaining of him to discover that his dad was all safe and sound, just petty.
