Today was a breeze at school since we didn't have any challenging classes. While packing my things and preparing to head home, I caught up with my friends Danielle, Ethan, Norah, and River. We discussed our plans for the summer and shared our excitement for all the fun adventures we wanted to have. It was a nice break from our usual busy schedules and a great way to end the day. After saying our goodbyes I made my way to my car heading towards my house.

As I made my way back home, I felt a sense of relief wash over me knowing that I didn't have to go into the office today. Today was a work-from-home day, which meant I could avoid the long commute and spend more time in the comfort of my own home. However, as I was driving back home, I couldn't help but feel a pang of loneliness. It was so silly, really, considering I had only known Rhea for a week, but I missed her presence nonetheless.

To distract myself, I turned on the radio and let the music fill the empty space. I was looking forward to having a relaxing evening, especially since tomorrow was a holiday and I could sleep in. Little did I know, that the moment I opened the door, my plans for a peaceful evening would be completely derailed.

The first thing I noticed as I stepped into the living room was the complete chaos that lay before me. Papers were thrown across the floor as if a whirlwind had swept through. The table lamp lay shattered, its pieces scattered in every direction. Several chairs lay overturned.

My heart pounded in my chest at the sight of the destruction. What the hell had happened here? Panic began to set in as I realized that someone had broken into my house. But how? I was so sure I had locked the door. Had I forgotten to do so in my urgency to leave this morning?

As I stood there, frozen in fear, I couldn't help but wonder if the intruder was still in my house. I strained my ears, listening intently for any sound, any indication of movement. But all was silent, except for the pounding of my own heart.

With trembling hands, I cautiously stepped forward, desperate to get a closer look but also terrified of what I might find. I peered around the corner, half-expecting to see a shadowy figure in the darkness.

But there was no one there. The intruder had long gone, leaving behind only the wreckage of my once-peaceful home. As I looked around the room, trying to make sense of what had happened, a cold shiver ran down my spine. This was no simple break-in. There was something more sinister at play here, something I couldn't quite put my finger on.

As I stepped into the dimly lit corridor, my eyes were immediately drawn to the ceramic vase I had made, shattered on the ground. I couldn't care less about the vase, what scared me the most was the cloud of clay dust that enveloped the hallway. A sharp pang of fear shot through me as my chest tightened as I struggled to breathe. I realized I was on the brink of an asthma attack. Panic set in as I frantically searched for my inhaler. But it was nowhere to be found. Shit, I must have left it at Rhea when she helped me through my last asthma attack. The air felt thick and heavy like I was trying to inhale through a straw. Every breath became more and more labored, and I could feel my pulse racing in my ears. My vision started to blur, and I knew I was in trouble. I fumbled for my phone and dialed Rhea's number, my hand shaking with fear.

When she answered, I could barely speak. "Rhea, something terrible happened. I can't find my inhaler...I need it now," I managed to gasp, my voice barely above a whisper. Tears prickled at the corners of my eyes as I struggled to keep calm, my body wracked with coughs and wheezes.

-Rhea's POV-

I had just finished a workout at the gym when my phone started ringing. I glanced at the screen and saw that it was Ava calling me. My heart skipped a beat - Ava never called me without a good reason. I answered the call and before I could even say hello, she blurted out, "Rhea, something terrible happened. I can't find my inhaler...I need it now''.

Panic set in as I heard her voice, labored and gasping for air. I knew that Ava suffered from severe asthma and without her inhaler, her life could be in danger. I quickly scanned through my bag, desperately searching for her inhaler. Finally, my fingers closed around it and I grabbed my keys, bolting out of the gym.

As I ran out of the building, my heart was pounding in my chest. I was filled with fear and a sense of urgency, knowing that every second counted. I started running towards Ava's house, my legs pumping faster with each step. I could feel the sweat pouring down my face and the adrenaline rushing through my veins.

Thankfully, the gym was just a few blocks away from Ava's house, and I managed to reach her just in time. As I arrived at her house, my heart was racing with anxiety. I had a feeling that something was off, and as soon as I stepped inside, my fears were confirmed. The room was an absolute mess - papers were scattered everywhere, and chairs were overturned and laying on the floor. It was as if a tornado had just swept through the space. But as chaotic as the room was, it paled in comparison to the sight that awaited me in the corridor.

I walked into the room, and my eyes immediately darted to Ava, who was lying on the floor struggling to breathe. She was gasping for air, and I could hear the sound of her wheezing from across the room. It was clear that she was having a severe asthma attack. My heart skipped a beat, and a feeling of dread washed over me as I realized the severity of the situation.

As I approached her, I could see the panic in her eyes, and it made my heart shatter into a million pieces. Her face was pale, and tiny bits of sweat were pouring down her forehead. I could feel the fear and desperation in her every gasp for air. It was as if she was fighting for her life right in front of me.

I quickly grabbed her inhaler and brought it to her watching her inhale on it and praying she would be alright and that I wasn't too late.
