                                                                                 -Rhea's POV-

My heart pounding in my chest, I quickly grabbed Ava's inhaler from my bag and instinctively snatched it up. Without wasting a second, I bolted towards her, the sound of my own footsteps echoing in the room. My eyes locked on her, I could see the panic on her face as she struggled to breathe. With trembling hands, I extended the inhaler towards her, watching as she grasped it tightly and brought it to her lips. As she inhaled deeply, I held my breath, willing the medicine to work its magic.

After what felt like an eternity, Ava's breathing slowly began to stabilize and the color returned to her face. The relief that washed over me was indescribable. To see her recover from the attack was a moment of pure joy and gratitude. But as I looked into her eyes, I could see the fear and tears that had taken hold of her, and my heart broke into a million pieces.

Without a second thought, I wrapped my arms around her, holding her tightly, and did everything I could to soothe her. 'It's okay, it's over now. I'm here and I won't let anything happen to you Ava I promise.'' And in that moment, holding her close, it felt like nothing else in the world mattered - all that mattered was her safety and well-being.

As I held her, I could feel her slowly relaxing, her body going limp in my arms. I waited patiently, giving her all the time to let go of her fears. She was exhausted, and it didn't take long for her to drift off into a deep sleep which wasn't surprising since it was expected for her to be feeling tired after her attacks.

I lifted her gently, cradling her in my arms as I walked over to the bed. I tucked her in, pulling the covers up to her chin, and watched her sleep, her peaceful expression a stark contrast to the terror I had seen just moments ago. As I stood there, watching over her, I couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion. The thought of what she had been through made my heart ache, but seeing her safe and sound in her bed filled me with a sense of comfort and relief. I knew I would do anything to keep her safe, to protect her from harm, no matter what.

After watching her sleep for some time, I returned to Ava's living room and took care of the mess, ensuring that she wouldn't have to deal with the aftermath when she woke up. I made sure to clean everything up thoroughly and put everything back in its place so that the space would be as tidy and comfortable as possible.

As I finished cleaning up the mess, I made my way back to Ava's room. She was stirring a bit, and I couldn't help but feel guilty for making some noise. But as soon as I saw her eyes open, only halfway, she mumbled something that took me by surprise, "Please stay." Her soft voice was barely a whisper, but it was enough to make my heart skip a beat.

I wanted to comfort her and make her relaxed so I started playing with her hair, running my fingers through her soft curls. As I did so, she slowly drifted back to sleep, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief knowing that she was finally getting some rest.

Of course I wasn't planning on leaving her alone, not after what had happened. The intruder was still out on the streets, and I wanted to make sure Ava was safe. I decided to stay with her for the night, making sure she felt comfortable and secure.

The minutes turned into hours as I kept running my hands through her hair, gently playing with it. It was a small gesture, but it seemed to calm her down, and she slept soundly through the night. I knew that tomorrow would be a new day, and I had a lot to do, including making a police report and talking to Ava more clearly. But for now, all that mattered was that Ava was safe and sound, and I could finally get some rest knowing that I had done my part.

As I sat there on the edge of the bed, I found myself hesitant to leave and go to the couch. I didn't want to give the impression that I was leaving her, so instead, I decided to lie down beside her. As I lay there, I couldn't help but notice the sweet scent of her perfume that lingered on the pillow. The warmth of her body next to me was both calming and reassuring, and as I lay there, I felt a stirring sensation in my stomach - a fluttery feeling that I hadn't experienced in a long time. It made me wonder; could I really be falling for this woman?
