The Akabane parents had a tendency to send home various souvenirs from their various trips. They ranged from shelf decorations to small exquisite furniture, all the way to many types of collectors items, and even musical instruments. Which no one played of course, they were simply there to act as decoratives.
This time they sent a three piece set painting from Italy. This morning Grandma Yuki had opened the tool box only to realise that they had run out of nails. Without the nails she wouldn't be able to put up the paintings.
She thus had asked Karma to fetch some while returning home.
After her usual routine was done she headed to the hardware store. Today was a lucky day and she had come across not one but two gangs! Usually she could only nitpick with petty delinquents, but today she ran into two gangs who were in the middle of a gang fight in the parking lot of the local grocery store.
Apparently the gang leaders were already at odds with each other and coincidently the two had gone to the same store that day and had a clash. The store owner was able to scold them out of the store but they soon started to brawl in the parking lot, someone must have informed their members as they arrived timely and joined in.
Karma stopped by earlier to grab herself a cold beverage and encountered the situation and decided to jump in. Both of them were small time gangs only having a handful of members with subpar skills. So Karma quickly took care of them. She even made the leaders apologize to the store owners and the customers who were delayed entry to their cars because of the ruckus.
She happily hummed as she entered the hardware store. Quickly grabbing the nail box off the shelf and heading to checkout.
“Do you have 680 yen Or not, kid?” The cashier sighed.
“Can I pay later?” Said the smaller figure opposite the counter.
“No can do kid, I don't own the place. I'm just a cashier and the store policy says I can't let customers take items without payment on a later date.” The cashier shook his head.
“I won't run away if that's what you're saying, I'm working on a project and these items are necessary. I'm short on funds but when I get an allowance I will pay. I'm a regular here, you know that.” the boy argues.
“I know you do, kid. But rules are rules-” The cashier was interrupted. “I'll pay for him” Karma put down the required amount.
Itona turned and faced the new voice only to be greeted by the red haired girl. “Who are you?”
“Jeez, we've met once before if you don't remember.” Karma informed.
