"You feel warm, you wanna go outside for a minute?" Thea asked, once they'd made their way through the throngs of people to get to the bar. She brushed her wife's hair away from her face and the back of her neck.
"Enjoy your little chat with your new friend?" She replied sassily.
"Don't be like that babe, she came and sat with me."
"Yeah I bet she did. I can't leave you alone for five minutes!"
"Are you waiting love?" The barman asked.
"Yeah, can I get a vodka and coke and a pint of ice water please." Thea was pretty sure her wife was fine but ordered the water just in case.
"A double vodka please." She chimed in making the cop give her a disapproving look which she ignored.
"Carla-"
"Do you think she's pretty?"
"What? No, not particularly."
"Prettier than me though?"
"No of course not. What the fuck is going on?"
"So if you don't think she's prettier than me, why were you just staring at her and not me, your wife?"
"Are you being fucking serious right now?"
"Oh deadly baby." Carla nodded her head with a stern expression.
"So you want to have a go at me for talking to another woman when your on the dance floor up there with someone else's hands all over you! Seriously?"
"He's gay!" She protested, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"I couldn't give a fuck if he was a eunuch, or gay or a fucking priest Carla, the only hands I want to see over your sexy fucking body should be mine! You want me to watch you, fine but I'm telling you now, your friend and my fist will be very well connected by the end of the night. Do you think he's pretty babe, cause he fucking won't be anymore if he doesn't keep his hands off my wife!"
"Your so possessive."
"Me? I-"
Carla shut her up the best way she knew how, she didn't care if her colleagues were watching, she pulled the cop down to her and kissed her passionately, her tongue massaging her wife's deeply before she pulled away, trapping her wife's bottom lip between her teeth and looking into her eyes.
"It's really fucking hot Thea. Take me home soon? Show me who I belong to?"
"Should I be concerned you've forgotten?" The cop held her waist and bought the younger woman flush against her, she in turn wrapped her arms around the taller woman's neck.
"It's all for you baby. This dress, the dancing, my hair half up, half down just the way you like. You have nothing to be concerned about."
"Good. Neither do you. No one in this room, fuck, this city babe, no one could compare."
"You'll watch if I have another dance then?"
"Carla-"
"You could always dance with me?"
"Absolutely not! Go on, get out of here just watch where he puts his hands."
Carla giggled and stood on tip toes to kiss her before leaving her behind in the crowd. She couldn't see Rodrigo straight away giving her the perfect excuse to move the way she wanted, the way she knew would keep her wife's attention.
It worked, Thea couldn't take her eyes of her, specifically her ass and the way that dress rode up her thighs as she moved. The cop decided standing by the bar and not making eye contact with anyone would be the safest way to proceed.
