The footage was grainy but at a perfect angle, Carla watched herself dance and was disappointed Thea's face wasn't defined. She didn't know what to do but she missed her already, things she couldn't have faked like her taste and the way she smelt.

There was no sound but her horror was evident as the glass panel blew out, she watched the cop push her to the ground, covering her as glass flew around them, people were running backwards and forward screaming. She had remembered being picked up but on screen it all happened so quickly, Thea looked like a super hero, making the younger woman cry again.

Brian had copied the footage and put it on his phone to show Nana that their girl was ok. Of course what had happened bought unwanted attention from the police, which was why the youngest twin was still hanging out around his grandmother's.

Aaliyah comforted her this time, putting her arms around her and holding her so tightly Carla was physically unable to sob hard.

"We'll go see her tomorrow, don't worry, you said she was ok. Where is she?"

"Yeah few stitches." She said remembering Thea bite down on her belt as her skin was stitched together without pain relief. "She's staying with a friend." She was suddenly uncomfortable and moved away from Aaliyah to get a glass of water.

How could she be expected to lie to her family and friends. She couldn't tell them they'd broken up after the video makes it look like she saved her life! She gulped her water, hoping her churning stomach wouldn't make it reappear. Looking at Brian she tried to work out who she was more angry at Thea or her brothers, they were all pretty high up on her list though.

Every time she had the urge to take her best friend into her room and tell her every event that happened tonight, she remembered Rob's warning. He had looked so afraid when he warned her Thea could be killed, the young girl wouldn't risk telling a soul.

As much as she hated her right now all she could feel was an overwhelming loss. They hadn't known each other that long and Carla wasn't sure what was real and what wasn't. The pain and longing she felt though, that was definitely real, she was mourning her Thea which left no room to worry about Detective Thea.

"When she's feeling better I want you to invite her round for dinner. Your lucky, I knew a woman who's husband hid behind her when a car backfired. She must love you to do something like that, don't let go of that one."

Carla felt numb.

"I'm going to bed, I don't feel very well."

"I'll come with you." Aaliyah suggested.

"No, I'm ok I just want to be on my own, you can sleep in Brian's old room though." She didn't want to be horrible but she couldn't think surrounded by everyone.

Once in her room she undressed, stepping out of her clothes and laying them on the back of her chair, she saw a stain on the side. It was blood, Thea's blood to be exact.

Her heart thumped as she got on the bed and rested her head on the pillow. How could Thea be a copper? She thought about the pain she would be in right now if the tall woman hadn't taken the brunt of it. Maybe she could have only done those things because she was a cop?How could she be completely in love with someone and yet not know them at all?

Retrieving her laptop from under the bed she was reenergised by intrigue. Her fingers tapped away at the keys as she searched for Detective Thea Masterson but there was nothing.

Her index finger hovered over the enter key, it was a long shot, she didn't even know if Amy had taken Thea's name when they got married but she soon found out she had.
