The sun was shining bright the next morning. Today would be the day. The group hadn't anticipated a battle like this since they stormed the Nest thirteen years ago. This was different though. Gabriel was more powerful than Walker and his army, not to mention Jonah and his cult put together.

Mary and Ben put out a huge breakfast spread. Matt was the last one down. He had slept in. He hated doing that, there was always the thought that he was missing out on something. He walked over and gave Casey a kiss before biting into a piece of toast.

"Sleep good?" She asked.
"Yeah I did, actually."
"You must've needed it." Casey said.
"Yeah, I guess I did." Matt replied, as he looked around the room. "Where's Sierra?"
"She went with Sam to walk the dog." Tyler told him.

"You think that was a good idea?" Matt asked his son.
"They're fine." Phil cut in. "I have their trackers up on my phone."
Matt nodded as he poured himself a glass of iced tea. He still didn't like the fact that any of them went outside with Gabriel probably out hunting them, but he didn't want to seem like he was being too overprotective.

"You ready?" Matt asked Shannon.
"Hell yeah I'm ready." She replied. She twirled one of her throwing knives in her right hand. Then, she suddenly threw it in Gavin's direction. Just as he was about to take a bite out of an apple Shannon's knife took it out of his hand and stuck it to the wall.

"I was gonna eat that." Gavin said, calmly.
"Shannon! We just painted these walls." Mary said, partly annoyed. She shook her head, but smiled proudly at her daughter.
"Sorry, mom."
"Okay, so Shannon's ready." Phil quipped.
"I just want this over with." She replied.

Just then the ugly old pug came bouncing through the back door with its leash dragging behind him, setting off alarms immediately.
"Where are they?" Matt asked Phil immediately. He was already moving for the door.
"Shit! They're moving, fast." Phil said, looking down at his phone. The two green dots that were showing their location were moving at a rapid pace. They were in some sort of vehicle.

"He's got them." Tyler said, following his dad out the door.
That's all they needed to hear. Matt's fear had come true. They all grabbed a weapon and ran for the trucks. Ben and Mary were left looking on in fear. Gabriel had to have Sam and Sierra.

Matt was behind the wheel listening to Phil tell him when and where to turn. Tyler and Gavin were both on edge. They knew what Gabriel had done to Shannon, and Sam had already went through it to a lesser extent just days ago.

"They stopped!" Phil yelled out.
"Where?" Tyler asked.
"Warehouse, on Woodlawn Ave. Right before the highway on the edge of town." He told them.
"I know that building." Shannon said.
Matt pulled up minutes later. He stayed a good distance away so they weren't seen. They would go the rest of the way on foot.

Matt eyed a building across the highway, directly across from where the girls were being held but a good hundred yards away.
"Can you get up to the top floor there?" Matt asked Phil.
"On my way." He replied. Phil took his sniper rifle and took off running. Once he got in there, he would set his sights on the warehouse and take out anybody that moved.

The others stood outside the truck. Shannon used binoculars to eye the warehouse. There were only two men standing guard outside, and they were heavily armed with machine guns. Aside from the abandoned warehouse there was nothing operational around.
"We have to get a better look." Matt said. "Stay low, let's see if we can get closer. We have to see inside."
Tyler was on his phone. He wasn't waiting, not with Sierra in there. "Phil, we need those two guards taken out. Now."

They waited, but Phil did not. Within seconds both guards fell to the ground from single shots to the head. The others wasted no time advancing on the warehouse. When they got there they put their backs to the building. Matt pointed to his eyes then to Tyler to get a look inside.

It was his worst fear. "They're in there, in the middle of the room on their knees. Hands tied, tape over their mouths." He explained. "Fuck!"
"Hey." Casey said to him. "Calm down. We're going to get them out."
"Gabriel?" Shannon asked.
Tyler shook his head. "I didn't see him."

"They wanted to lure us here." Matt said. "Gabriel is probably out looking for the rest of us, he's coming back. I say we go in now before he does."
"Agreed." Shannon said. She pulled out two .45 magnums and prepared to enter the warehouse. She was hungry for revenge.

Matt knew asking her to wait was out of the question, they all did. So they prepared to follow her.
"Any plan?" Gavin asked.
"Kill them all." Tyler replied.
And with that Shannon turned the corner and began shooting.
