Two more dead. Shaun's parents, and living Elders, were gone. Two more victims of this new enemy. Ben and Mary were lucky to be alive. They were heading to their safe house. A place only their daughters knew about, not even Matt knew the location.

This man had gone on a killing spree. Three people in a matter of hours, and it could have easily been five. They had to find out who he was and the extent of what he could do. It was the next day when detective Milligan came knocking that they received the information they were looking for.

They all gathered around the living room as the detective opened his yellow folder.
"So we did get a match on the blood found at the scene. The first, of course, belonging to Ms. Walker. And the other was to a Gabriel Monroe."

"And who is he exactly?" Matt asked.
"He's a bad man." The detective said, bluntly.
He skimmed through his papers. "The reason we got a hit so fast on his blood is because he's been in the system before. Many times, actually. He's not someone you want to mess with."

"We'll be the judge of that." Shannon said. She took the folder from Milligan, who didn't resist. She read a little, softly to herself.
"Well?!" Sierra exclaimed, getting impatient with her sister.
"This guy, or kid, I should say.... He was born on September 28th. He's eighteen years old." She told them, an ominous look on her face.

They all knew that specific date.
"That's my birthday." Tyler said.
"Well, what else does it say?" Sam asked.
"Born in Russia, adopted at birth. His birth mother gave him up. At age nine he shot and killed his adoptive mother and was placed in foster care again. Police ruled it an accident, he said he found his father's gun and it accidentally went off."

"Let me see that." Phil said, grabbing the folder. He read some more.
"Age twelve, was adopted again, this time by an American couple. House caught on fire, both parents died. Cause of fire was inconclusive."
"Jesus Christ." Matt mumbled.
Phil read on. "Age thirteen, back in foster care, gets in a fight with a seventeen year old and kills him."

"This kid is fucked up." Gavin said. "How'd he kill him?"
"Jesus, Gavin, does it matter?" Sam asked.
"He put his thumbs through his eyes." Phil said.
"Ew. What the fuck?" Shannon said with a look of disgust on her face.

Matt took the folder. "He bounced around after that. Psychiatrist after psychiatrist, juvenile detention centers......" He read on. "One doctor labeled him unfit to exist in society. Other doctors refused to see him after complaining of massive migraine type headaches while in his company."

He threw the folder to Milligan. They knew they were dealing with someone that was on the level with Tyler, hell, he might even be beyond that. They just didn't know the extent of his abilities. The fact that he shared an exact birthday with Tyler couldn't be overlooked, and couldn't be a coincidence.

Milligan stood to leave. "I hope it helped." He handed over the file to Tyler. "You guys keep this. Something tells me you're gonna need it."
"Thank you." Matt said. "We appreciate the help."

"I don't know exactly everything that goes on with you guys, but I know somehow you make my job easier. Just be careful." Milligan said. He turned to leave, then stopped. "Oh the lab tech that did the work up on his blood said she'd never seen anything like it under the microscope before. She said there were all kinds of inconsistencies, really freaked her out. I don't know if that means anything to you guys."

With that he was gone, leaving them with more questions than they began with.
Later that day was Jenna's funeral. It was a nice ceremony. Matt had hurried the funeral procedure along. Not out of disrespect, it was just that time was of the essence. Gabriel was out there looking for them and he was striking fast.
